First fish!

Rylee caught her first little fish this weekend. Watch out Grandpa Tom... I think you've got some competition!

Feels like summer!

It was such a beautiful day today. It FINALLY feels like summer is here! Rylee and I took advantage of the weather and went to the Brown's Point Lighthouse Park. We had fun playing in the rocks and watching all of the dogs run around. And we could actually wear shorts!! I hope there are more days like this to come!

Sunny Saturday

We decided to test our luck and head to the beach house this weekend. Lucky for us, Saturday was amazingly warm and beautiful! Needless to say, we spent the whole day outdoors. We walked on the beach, fished, threw sticks for Coulee and watched her swim, made a bonfire, threw rocks in the water, found lots of new sea life, and most of all spent time with family.
Rylee spent lots of quality time with Grandma and Grandpa.

Lance and I kayaked while Rylee napped and made friends with a few seals. Rylee spent time crawling in and on the canoe and kayaks.

Sunday was of course rainy as usual. I'm so glad we got at least a little Vitamin D this weekend! I needed it!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. We kept it pretty low key and just enjoyed the (mostly) rainy day. I got to sleep in, and then woke up to the yummy smell of breakfast cooking. After breakfast Rylee helped me open my cards and gifts (to which she then ripped the "book" (card) she gave me. Then we spent the sun breaks outside doing yard work (which we have been doing all weekend). I just can't wait to have the yard all ready for summer fun! For dinner, Lance got us take-out from one of my favorite restaurants. It was a very relaxing, very nice Mother's Day. I am so very thankful for the little monster I am a mother to. In between her screaming, climbing, and causing trouble she is the sweetest, most lovable little thing ever. I am thankful every day for the joy and love she brings to my life.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there, especially Judy (Lance's mom) and my mom! We love you both so much!!
