Spring break at Millersylvania State Park

We had a few days free during spring break so we decided to go camping!  We camped at Millersylvania State Park in Olympia.  It was great!
The campground was nice.  A few spots near our site were closed due to the potential for flooding, so the kids took advantage and used one of them as a pickleball court!
The park had a lot of walking/ hiking trails.  Kona had a blast checking them all out.
The boys tried fishing at Deep Lake a few times, but unfortunately they didn't catch one fish!
We had a fun trip and had a blast exploring a new park.  Kona loved every second!

Easter hike to Mashel Falls

Easter was a beautiful day this year so we took advantage and had church outside.  We drove out to Eatonville and hiked to Mashel Falls.
The hike was about 5 miles round trip.  The first couple of miles were walking on an old dirt road which was not very exciting, but then the trail veered off to a more forested trail.
The trail went to 3 separate falls- lower, middle and upper falls.  These pics are from the lower falls.
The middle falls were the fullest and prettiest.  The kids liked how you could walk under the waterfall.  Luckily they brought jackets along so they didn't get too wet.
The trail to the upper falls was washed out so we couldn't get any closer than this.
All in all it was a great hike and would highly recommend!

New Level tournament in AZ

While Rylee and Lance stayed at home for Rylee's tournament, Carson and I got to escape to Arizona!  His New Level team had a tournament in Phoenix so we went a couple days early to stay with my parents and see their new home in Mesa.
The weather was glorious!  It was hot.  In fact one of the days was a record breaking temp for February- 94!  And of course that was one of the days the boys played.  They didn't seem to mind too much though! 🌞Especially when they could go back to the hotel and jump in the pool after the game.
We went to a Mariners spring training game on Thursday.  My parents got great seats right behind home plate.  We were lucky to have some of the big players playing that day- specifically Cal, J.Rod, Bryce Miller and Arozarena.  A lot of Carson's teammates went to the game too so they had fun watching from the grass and walking around.
My parents came to all the games to support.  Unfortunately the team didn't win any games, but Carson played great!  He got in lots of playing time.  He did some pitching and got in some good plays both outfield and at 2nd base.
They mostly played late afternoon/ early evening games so we got to see some beautiful sunsets.  We had to eat at Raising Cane's after one of the games.  Their chicken is to die for!
We stayed at the team hotel the last 2 nights of the trip.  The resort had a water park area with pools, a water slide and lazy river.  We were able to enjoy it for a few hours after our last game on Sunday.  Even though the outcome of the tournament wasn't as hoped, the boys had a lot of fun and got in some good bonding time.  I definitely wouldn't mind another tournament in AZ!

3 Homeruns at the Shamrock Showdown tournament!

The Avengers played in the Shamrock Showdown for their last tournament before high school ball.  The team played well and won 3 of the 5 games.
Rylee hit 3 homeruns during the tournament... AMAZING!!  She was so excited and we are so proud of her.
The first homerun was found on the railroad tracks.
What a comeback for this girl!  Can't wait to see what else she can do!
Kona went to the tournament and hung out in the wagon outside the dugout.  She provided lots of emotional support to the girls!
Here are her homerun videos from the tournament:
