New Level tournament in AZ

While Rylee and Lance stayed at home for Rylee's tournament, Carson and I got to escape to Arizona!  His New Level team had a tournament in Phoenix so we went a couple days early to stay with my parents and see their new home in Mesa.
The weather was glorious!  It was hot.  In fact one of the days was a record breaking temp for February- 94!  And of course that was one of the days the boys played.  They didn't seem to mind too much though! 🌞Especially when they could go back to the hotel and jump in the pool after the game.
We went to a Mariners spring training game on Thursday.  My parents got great seats right behind home plate.  We were lucky to have some of the big players playing that day- specifically Cal, J.Rod, Bryce Miller and Arozarena.  A lot of Carson's teammates went to the game too so they had fun watching from the grass and walking around.
My parents came to all the games to support.  Unfortunately the team didn't win any games, but Carson played great!  He got in lots of playing time.  He did some pitching and got in some good plays both outfield and at 2nd base.
They mostly played late afternoon/ early evening games so we got to see some beautiful sunsets.  We had to eat at Raising Cane's after one of the games.  Their chicken is to die for!
We stayed at the team hotel the last 2 nights of the trip.  The resort had a water park area with pools, a water slide and lazy river.  We were able to enjoy it for a few hours after our last game on Sunday.  Even though the outcome of the tournament wasn't as hoped, the boys had a lot of fun and got in some good bonding time.  I definitely wouldn't mind another tournament in AZ!

3 Homeruns at the Shamrock Showdown tournament!

The Avengers played in the Shamrock Showdown for their last tournament before high school ball.  The team played well and won 3 of the 5 games.
Rylee hit 3 homeruns during the tournament... AMAZING!!  She was so excited and we are so proud of her.
The first homerun was found on the railroad tracks.
What a comeback for this girl!  Can't wait to see what else she can do!
Kona went to the tournament and hung out in the wagon outside the dugout.  She provided lots of emotional support to the girls!
Here are her homerun videos from the tournament:

Winter memories

Mandy, Kennedy, Rylee and I went to the Christmas Market at Knudsen farm.  It was great!  We got a coffee and cocoa and then strolled through the local vendors.
Carson's New Level team had an event at Mulligans.  He had fun hanging out with the boys outside of practice.
We did our annual cookie baking.  The kids did great decorating the sugar cookies!  Carson made the big candy cane heart.
Rylee got together with friends for Ariya's birthday.  The did an escape room and figured out how to escape!
Rylee was cleared to fully return to softball in November. 🎉 This Grinchfest tournament was her first tournament back since her injury one year ago.  Guess who hit a home run?!?  Yep... my girl did!  She's been working hard since she was cleared and it paid off!  It was so fun to see.
Here's the video of her homerun.  The girls were all so excited for her!
The Avengers had a team event at Zoolights.  We lucked out with no rain!
Carson brought his girlfriend, Aria.  We had fun drinking hot cocoa and strolling around looking at the lights.
This is a project Carson worked on in robotics class this semester, pretty cool!
Carson and some friends were in choir this semester.  They put on a concert and were actually pretty good!
Lance and I went to see Monty Python's Spamalot at the 5th Ave theater in Seattle.  It was so good!  That same weekend we got together with Wendy, Tania and Jason to throw some axes at Casting Iron.  We had a blast!
Carson's team met for some Mexican food after a scrimmage one day.  It was a little hectic but everyone had a good time.
The mountains didn't get much snow this winter, but luckily we hit a wet/ cold streak in March so Carson and Lance took advantage and went skiing at Crystal Mountain.  They said it was a great day with lots of new powder.
Rylee and Eva helped out at a leadership conference at Lakeridge.  Mrs. Nimick always makes everything fun!
This is Kona on one of our only snow days this year.  She looks like she is smiling! 💌
Carson presented some of his artwork at a school board meeting this winter.  I love the clay face!
