Northwest Trek

We went on a new adventure today to Northwest Trek.  Lance and I have been before, but never with the kiddos.  They loved it.  They had fun on the tram and loved seeing some of the animals close up.  We definitely had favorites.  The otter, porcupines and beavers were definitely the coolest and put on the best show for us.  Here are a few pictures from our exciting day.
Mr. Porcupine was very friendly and a lot cuter than I expected.  He even waved at Carson!
The otter (above) let us get a close up shot in between his somersaults and acrobatics in the water.  The wolverine (below) was sleepy but still very cool to see.  Look at the size of his feet!
Carson had fun checking everything out.  He is getting very independent and wants nothing to do with his stroller anymore.  He wants to walk everywhere, touch everything and basically do whatever will cause the most trouble.  Typical toddler.  At least he's cute!  =)

Park hopping

One of our favorite things this summer has been checking out as many new (and old) parks as we can.  This is a new discovery and by far the best park yet!

Bank Lake 2013

Banks 2013 came and went.  It was a blast as always.  It was 6 days of fun, friends, sunshine, water, boating, lounging and relaxing.  I can't wait for next year.
Denise came with her boyfriend Mark and brought two jet skis.  All the kiddos went for a ride and absolutely loved it.  Ronan and Carson are little daredevils.
Our friend Bob the fish was back this year and hung out close to the beach with his friends, waiting for snacks.  Sherman caught him one day so we could see him up close.  The kids weren't too sure about him.
New this year was the "First Annual Holy Balls Tournament."  Almost everyone was involved and it was some good competition.  Above is the trophy the winner gets to keep until next year, along with bragging rights.  =)
The tournament came down to Mandy and Jon vs.  Lance and me.  It was a close game but in the end... WE WON!!!
One night we went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant, La Presa.  We  had to eat and drink quickly before the babies started melting down.  =)
What a beautiful place.  I feel so lucky to have such a fun spot to visit every year with some amazing friends.  Every year gets better and better.   I started going there when I was a baby, and now I'm grown and I have babies.  I'm sure I will still be going there when my babies have babies!  I'll miss you Banks Lake and look forward to next year.  The countdown is on!!

18 months

I can't believe my baby boy is a year and a half.  Time has flown by.  I still see him as my little tiny snuggle bug.  He is getting to be such a big boy!  Just this last week he started talking so much more, and you can actually understand some of what he's saying.  His giggles are contagious.  He is still such a lover.  He loves snuggling before bed and giving kisses and hugs in the morning.   He loves his sister like crazy and follows her around like a little puppy.   He wants to be just like her.  He loves trucks, planes, dirt, music and dancing, the boat, any kind of water, playing outside, helping daddy, reading stories, and cleaning the house (sweeping and vacuuming).  He is still a Mommy and Daddy's boy and takes a long time to warm up to others.  He is a picky eater but somehow still manages to have a HUGE belly!
 He wears 18-24 month clothing.
Length: 33 1/2 inches (75th percentile)
Weight: 29 lbs (75th percentile)

I love you so much little man and feel so blessed to have you in my life.  I will take care of you always and love you forever and ever.  XOXO

Zip-lining in Sequim

This weekend we went to the Sequim Craig's annual summer BBQ.  The kids had a blast.  They have the best yard for kids.... a swing set, a trampoline, and best of all a zip line!  Needless to say we hardly saw Rylee all day!  Carson and Rylee both had fun playing with their 2nd cousin Tamryn (Lance's Uncle Stuart's daughter).  She is 2 months younger than Carson.  Of course I forgot to get pictures of the host/hostess of the party!  Oops... next year!
