Rides, rides, and MORE RIDES!

We spent 7 fun hours at the fair today.  AT LEAST 6 hours were spent on rides.  Thank goodness for the dizzy pass bracelet... I swear my kids went on at least 40 rides each.  Some they went on 5-6 times in a row.  Their favorites were definitely the roller coaster, the cars, and the big slides.  Carson just barely made the height requirement this year, and he took full advantage of it!
Pure joy.

Tubing!

A couple weeks ago we were lucky enough to spend more time with Savannah.  She teaches Rylee and Carson all kinds of crazy things!  I couldn't believe that both of my kids went tubing... and loved it!  They were doing all kinds of tricks on the tube... standing up, riding backward, hands in the air.  What a great time!

She also showed my daredevil son how to jump off of her boat dock.  It's about 8 or 9 feet high so I thought there was no chance he'd jump.  Boy was I wrong.  After he saw Savannah and Lance both do it, he had to try it out.  He loved it so much he did it 3 more times.  Just about gave me a heart attack!

ABC's

Carson came in my room a couple days ago and completely surprised me by singing the ABC's.  Honestly we hadn't practiced it in a while, so I was very impressed to see how well he did.  They must have been working on it at school.  As you can see he's very proud of himself.  =)  So smart.

Banks Lake 2014

We just returned from our annual trip to Banks lake.  It was a blast, as usual.  5 days full of sunshine, water, boating, beach, beverages, and fun!  It was a little bit more low key this year, as we were the only ones who went!  Usually we have 4-5 boats full of people and multiple tents at our campsite.  This year some people had babies, others had school, and some were moving.  Luckily our friend's Kristin and Andy were also there so we hung out with them every day (of course I have no pictures of them!)  It was a different kind of trip.  Staying out on the boat until sunset, going out to dinner, and just relaxing.  It was nice.  But next year bring on the party and boats full of people!
We did lots and lots of fishing.  (At least the kids and Lance did.  I did lots and lots of sunbathing and reading!)  Lots of fish were caught too.  Even Rylee and Carson caught a few!
We found this great little cove with rocks surrounding it.  The boys fished in floaties (and caught tons of fish) while the kids and I swam and found a great little rock jumping spot.  We will definitely be coming back to this spot next year.  One evening we even saw a mama deer and her two babies!

The kids took long, amazing naps.  One of the best things about vacation is the naps.  =)
We also did some rock jumping.  Rylee and Carson were both very brave and jumped higher than they ever have before.  They also both jumped off the front of the boat.  Another first!
The kids also went tubing for the very first time.  It took some coaxing but once they did it they absolutely loved it!  They both loved going across the wake.  They are hooked!  They are already asking when they can go tubing on Lake Tapps.
Still my favorite place on earth.

Swimming fools

We went swimming again with Janice, Sally, and Sally's daughter Savannah.  Rylee adores Savannah and followed her around like a little puppy, trying to do absolutely everything she did.  Carson spent almost the whole 3 hours jumping into the pool.  What can I say... my kids are definitely water babies!  Thanks to Janice for taking the great photos.
