Easter a little early

 We will be in Hawaii for Easter this year, so we celebrated a little early with an egg hunt at Carson's school.  They both found baskets full of treats and goodies, and Rylee even won a special gift by finding a golden egg.  It was really cute to watch.  Rylee ran around until she found the special egg first, then she filled her basket with everything else.  Carson ran around and was very picky about which eggs he would pick up.

Relaxing weekend at the beach

 We spent this last weekend hanging with friends at my parents beach house.  My parents are in AZ for a couple of months and they graciously let us use their beautiful home.  It felt like we were on a mini vacation.

 What an amazing weekend.  Saturday was absolutely beautiful.  We spent the whole day on the beach playing in the sunshine.  No jackets needed!!  The kids wore themselves out throwing rocks, making forts, fishing, looking for baby crabs, and throwing sticks for Coulee.    

 The adults had a relaxing time.  We paddle boarded, fished, sat in the sunshine and drank lots of margaritas.  We even played some games after the kiddos went to bed and I laughed harder than I've laughed in a long time.  

 Carson and Ronan spent a lot of time doing puzzles together.

 Rylee had a blast playing with Ronan and Theron.  I don't think she put Theron down all weekend.  Theron was a good sport and let Rylee dote on him.

Lots of memories were made this weekend.  Fun times with some of my very favorite people.  

Life is good.

Snowy trip to Chelan

 We hadn't played in the snow yet this year so we decided to take a weekend trip and go find some.  We stayed in Chelan and drove up to Echo Ridge to check out the tubing hill.  It was a blast.  Carson was initially scared and would only do half of the hill, but by the end of the day he was keeping up with his sister.  Rylee surprised me and was not scared at all.  She was going down the fastest hills, looking for ones with bumps so she could "fly."  

It was such a cool little area.  They had a small skiing hill also with 3 rope tows.  Would be a perfect place for the kids to learn to ski.  Maybe next year!  We'll definitely be back to tube.

It was such a beautiful, sunny day.  Lake Chelan is just gorgeous.

After playing in the snow we checked out a couple of wineries.  It was "Wine and Chocolate weekend" in Chelan so all the wineries had either fondue or chocolate pairings.  So fun!

 We had dinner at Wapato Point Cellars after tasting there.  The kids were so good!  It didn't hurt that the winery had a swing set and old school merry go round they could play on while we wine tasted.  We'll definitely be back to that place!

Sunday we spent some time at the park, exploring the beach, throwing rocks and making sailboats out of sticks and leaves. 

 On our drive back home we took a detour and found our own little sledding hill.  It was perfect.

Happy 4th Birthday Carson!

 I took the day off work so Carson and I could have a special mommy-son birthday date,  We started with a coffee and cake pop from Starbucks, then headed to the mall for all kinds of fun.  We went to the bouncy house first per Carson's request.  He spent an hour and a half running, bouncing, playing video games and making new friends.  After that we got some quick lunch and then went to Wiggle Works for more bouncing fun.  

After Dad and sis got home we opened presents and went to eat at Red Robin.  He thought it was pretty awesome that they sang happy birthday to him AND he got a free sundae!  =)  What a fun birthday!

I can't believe my baby boy is 4 already!!  I told him that the other night and he told me "I'll always be your sweet baby boy, even when I'm 5."  Awe!!  He truly is the sweetest little guy.  He is so thoughtful and sensitive.  He loves to snuggle and give kisses and hugs.  It melts my heart when he says "I love you" in his sweet little voice.  He loves reading books and has most recently really got into doing puzzles.  He loves artwork and coloring and is starting to learn his letters and numbers.  He is into star wars, transformers, cars, trucks, and basically all the typical boy toys.  He is a little daredevil on his scooter and bike and practically gives me a heart attack every time he rides down our hill.  Can't imagine life without you buddy.  We love you so  much!

Birthday Party at Gymnasticsland

 Carson celebrated his 4th birthday today at Roach gymnastics.  It was a great place for a party.  A lot of his little friends came out to help play and celebrate.  He had fun bouncing on the trampoline, going down the bouncy slide, playing in the foam pit, and eating pizza and cupcakes.  What a great day!
