Walla Walla weekend

We spent this weekend visiting Lance's parents, Papa Tom and Anna, in Walla Walla.  The kids had so much fun playing and running around with them.  Anna helped them make "potions" (see above), we went to "Ducky Days" (a carnival type event with lots of kids activities),  we walked along a river, played at a cool park, and the kids swam lots.  Rylee said her favorite part was the swimming and Carson said his was playing with Papa Tom.
On the ride home we took the scenic way and stopped to hike a little and play in the snow.  The kids thought it was so cool to be in short sleeves in the snow!

Mother's Day weekend 2015

What a beautiful weekend and wonderful way to spend Mother's Day.  Blue skies, warm weather, cool water.  We had a great time at the beach house once again.  The kids had an amazing time playing in the water and experiencing all the sea life.  The found crabs, sea snails, clams, oysters, huge worms and fish.
Of course the guys fished.  And we had s'mores over a bonfire.  Love the beach life!

A visit with Grandma J

We drove down to Corvallis last weekend to visit Lance's mom, Judy.  We had a great visit.  We did lots of walking around town, shopping, park playing, eating out, and hanging at Grandma's apartment with her kitty.  The kids loved it.  Rylee especially loved riding on her new princess bike that Grandma J surprised her with.  Love you Gramma!

Hoppy Easter!

Easter was pretty low key this year.  We usually get together with family, but this year my parents were still traveling back from Arizona and my sister was celebrating with Jon's family.  We started the morning with Easter baskets (they each got legos, a book and a chocolate M&M bunny), and an Easter egg hunt in the front yard.  Later we went for a walk in the beautiful sunshine and decorated eggs.  Super relaxing and fun.

A Girls Sleepover and Boys Weekend

We had our first sleepover last weekend with Rylee's best friends Alexis and Madeline.  The mom's (me, Tania and Michelle) also got to partake in the fun.  The girls had an amazing time.  There were only a couple of arguments (and they were mostly over a Cinderella princess dress) and everyone got over them quickly.  They played so well together.  They mostly played upstairs which made for a fun girls night for the moms!
Dress up, dancing, tattoos, jumping on the bed, laughing, movie watching, cheers
Just a few words to describe the night.
My friend Tania hosted and she definitely went all out.  The next morning we were spoiled with an amazing breakfast.  The girls have been talking about it ever since.  Time to plan another one!
While the girls were away the boys decided to take a quick trip to the beach.  Lance, Sherman, Carson, and Sherman's son Ronan (who is only 2.5 months older than Carson) had some definite "guy time."  As you can see from the pictures it was all boy.  No shirts, peeing off the deck, bonfires, fishing.  Needless to say they had a great time.
