Family trip to Oregon

We hadn't seen Gramma J in a long time, so we decided to take a long weekend trip to visit all the family in Oregon.  We stopped in Corvallis for a night to spend some time with Gramma.
Our next stop was to visit Lance's brother Aaron and his family in Bend.  Bend is such a cute little town, we need to visit more often!  My nephew Ace was away on a camping trip, so we got extra time with my nephew Jack.  The first day they took us to this cute little lake.  They kids played in the water and we enjoyed the sunshine and had lunch and beers outside at a little cafe.
That night we ate outside at an amazing Mexican spot, got delicious gelato downtown and then walked along the Deschutes river.  Perfect night!
The next day we hiked the Big Obsidian Flow Trail.  It was a great little walk with some great scenery.  The lava flow and smooth black obsidian was so cool, but so slippery!
We ate lunch at this cute little cabin on Paulina lake, and then hiked over to Paulina falls.
It was such a pretty hike and gorgeous falls!
We had a great time visiting family and adventuring to new places.  We will definitely be back to visit again soon!

Summer has started!

Lance turned 44 in June and the kids celebrated by making him a cake with 44 candles on it.  They did a great job!
Lance celebrated by gettin glots of snuggles from the kids.  😍
We had our friends dog Lola over for a play date so they could get some quality time in.  Sadly, Lola was diagnosed with cancer and went downhill fast.  Lola has been Coulee's girlfriend for years.  They have so many great memories together.  Lola will definitely be missed.
The kids have been spending lots of time with Coulee and taking lots of selfies.  I think they git some great shots!
We are so grateful for such great neighbors.  The kids have been playing daily with their neighbor friends.  It has definitely made staying at home a little more tolerable!
My friend Wendy came to visit from Boston, so Tania and I met her one evening at Gene Coulon park for some Ivars and catching up.  I wish she lived closer so we could do this more often!

Grandparent visit at the Beach house

We had not seen my parents for months, since they were in Mexico when this whole pandemic started.  We finally decided to give in and visit them a couple of weeks ago.  We missed them... and the beach!!
We spend lots of time catching up, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and bonfiring on the beach.
Coulee got to swim, save sticks, and eat barnacles.  She could barely walk the next day.  😃
We couldn't get together for Easter due to Covid, so my parents did a belated Easter egg hunt for the kids.  So many eggs!!  They will have candy for weeks!
We had a great time as always and will definitely be back soon!
