Welcome to the Sun Dodgers!

After seeing how much fun Carson was having on his select baseball team, Rylee decided she wanted to join a team as well.  Usually tryouts are in the summer, but we got lucky finding a team that needed a couple of players now.  She tried out and made the team!  She is officially part of the Sun Dodgers 14U team.  She got exactly 2 practices in with the team before they had a tournament.  

Her first tournament was at the Hub- the same indoor facility in Centralia that Carson played at.  They did so great!  They were 3-0 going into the final game (which they lost).  But they still placed 2nd in their division.  And Rylee even got some play time!

This is her new team.  There are only 4 7th  graders (including her), the rest are 8th and even 9th grade.  She's having a blast so far and making lots of new friends.

Happy 11th Birthday Carson!

My baby boy is 11!  We started the day with some donuts, and then I brought him Jimmy Johns for lunch at school.  It was fun to have lunch with him and his little friends!  We had a  baseball tournament on his birthday weekend so we didn't get to celebrate much.  We went out to dinner at Insert Coin, a restaurant and arcade, and then back to the camper to rest up for the next game!

The following weekend he celebrated by bringing some friends to Ocean5 in Gig Harbor.  They did Top Golf, played laser tag, did some duck pin bowling, and played some video games.

Afterwards they all came over for a sleepover.  Happy birthday buddy!! 🎂

Winter Baseball Tournaments- Go Bulldogs!

 

Carson joined a select baseball team this fall- the Bulldogs 11U.  He's been practicing twice a week with them, mostly at their indoor facility.  They started having tournaments in January at an indoor facility in Centralia.  The fields are small and the games are short.  But its fun to watch and its better than being out in the rain and cold!

His buddy Landon is on the Bulldogs 10U team.  We've had tournaments the same weekends as them so we've been able to camp together.  It's been really fun!

They've had 3 tournaments so far and have only won 2.  Their record is 2-6.  They've played well and are learning a lot.  I can't wait to see them have a tournament on a real outdoor field!

We spent New Years Eve at the Rolene's house (our neighbors).  It was a great time!  Lots of game playing, good food/ drinks and great company!

We ended the night with some fireworks!  Cheers to a New Year!

Merry Christmas 2022

Mandy and Jon hosted their annual Christmas Eve party this year.  The kids played some games and the adults did the annual gift exchange.

Harry and Nory were there this year, and also Kathy and Greg.  It was so great to see them again and catch up!  They were part of our annual Christmas Eve tradition back when I was a kid!

We were dog sitting over Christmas break, so Tanner participated in the stocking opening.  He was great at taking selfies with Rylee 😜

I think this was one of my favorite Christmas' so far.  Very low key, just hanging out with family and relaxing.  And eating delicious food of course!

We celebrated Papa's bday in the evening with cherry pie and some card playing.  Happy B-Day Papa!
