Lance and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary with a kid-free trip to Victoria. We took a seaplane to get there. It was absolutely amazing! There were 10 of us on the plane including the pilot. I loved it.
We spent the weekend checking out the town, eating and drinking at different restaurants and bars, and just enjoying each other without having to keep the kids entertained. There were so many little public markets and farmers markets all weekend. There was a night market Friday night which was so fun. Lots of vendors selling home made items and different street performers. Right up my alley.
We checked out the Victoria Royal BC museum on Saturday. It was really cool.
We spent our anniversary dinner at a really fun restaurant. Lance ordered a whole crab. Delish!
Afterward we went to a really cool bar called Bard & Banker. It was decorated in "Great Gatsby" style, lots of chandeliers and fun little fancy touches. Lance made me try a gin and tonic for the first time. It was actually really delicious with cucumber slices in it!
On Sunday we went to the pride parade. It was so much fun! Lots of interesting floats and people!
We just loved the cute little water taxis. They were adorable and super quick!
We saw a few harbor seals over at Fisherman's wharf. The were so cute and interactive if you had food to share.
We took the Victoria Clipper back on Sunday. It wasn't as fun as the seaplane, but we kept ourselves entertained with drinks and cards. All in all it was a fantastic weekend and a great way to celebrate our anniversary!
