For the first time EVER Carson and Landon were not on the same little league baseball team. It was so sad! They had to try out for the majors this year and were drafted by the coaches. Carson ended up on The Pirates and Landon was drafted to The Rays. The first game they played (Pirates vs Rays), Landon's team ended up winning 8-7 at the very end. It was a great game! The 2nd game we played against them we ended up winning 6-5. 🙌
Grandma and Papa even made it out for a game during the season!
A couple of the hits from this season.
A pic together after they both won their 1st playoff games!! They were both so excited. The Rays beat the #2 seed The Nationals, and The Pirates beat the #1 seed The Rockies. 🙌
The Pirates ended up winning the BLS Little League Majors championship! They didn't lose one game during the playoffs. It was pretty incredible, especially since they were one of the underdogs going into it. They ended the season 6-6 (before the playoffs). They were ranked #4 out of the 7 teams. What an accomplishment!
The championship game was against The Nationals. It was such an exciting game! Carson was "the closer." He pitched the end of the last inning and struck out the last two batters. I was so proud of him! The Pirates won 4-2. Carson even got the game ball!
The coaches were so great this year. The boys were fun and they improved so much throughout the season. I'm sad it’s over... but excited that they won!
Carson was chosen to participate on the BLS little league 11u All Star team this year. Can’t wait for this experience! Stay tuned for a separate post on this.
Rylee played in the Juniors league this year (ages 13-14). It was nothing like the Majors last year. A lot of the girls from her team last year didn't play on little league this year, so she didn't know most of the girls. Some of the girls had never even played before! At least she got lots of play time. We played the Federal Way team a couple of times that her Sundodgers teammate Claire is on. It was fun to see them play each other.
A couple of Rylee's hits from the season.
RBI triple! Such a great hit!!
Rylees friend Lydia from school (and past LL teams) was on the team, they had a lot of fun playing together! All in all it was a fun season and an excuse to get more practice and girl time in.
Her team ended the season 4-9-1.
Lance and I enjoyed watching them both play... especially on the sunny warm days that ended with a beautiful sunset!
