Maui- day 3

We woke up on day 3 to another beautiful rainbow.

We spent the morning hanging out in the room and playing in the hot tub.

The morning was a little rainy so we went for a drive around North Maui. This is a pic of our little travel buddy!

We checked out some beautiful scenery.

And stopped for banana bread and mango chips at this local stand.

Later in the day we stopped at a beach so Rylee could play in the sand. She loved eating it!

It was a little windy so we didn't stay long. Still long enough to get sand everywhere! =)

This is the view from our balcony.

More pics from the balcony. We watched many beautiful sunsets from here.

That night we went to dinner at the hotel restaurant. I had mahi mahi... it was delicious!

Maui- day 2

Another beautiful day in Maui (how could it not be with a forecast like this??)

Rylee had her first pool experience. She absolutely loved it! Once she got in the water she did not want to get out. She would have stayed in all day if we let her. She definitely is a Craig!

Day 2 we hung by the pool for most of the day, sunbathing and swimming.

She was so fun to watch in the water... all smiles!

We bought her this little floatie at the local store. She loved floating around in it.

I loved pushing her around in it!

That night we went to Lahaina to explore. We walked around town, shopped a little, and had dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise.

We watched the sunset from a little grassy park.

Maui sunset. Gorgeous!

Maui- day 1

We arrived in Maui last Friday, 5/21. Rylee was a little angel on the plane. She must have known she was in for an exciting week because from the minute we got off the plane she was so happy and smiley.

We couldn't check in until 4 so we spent some time exploring and shopping for the week. We walked down the beach trail and then ordered pizza to our room. It was a great first day.

We stayed at the Ka'anapali Beach Club. It was amazing. We stayed in a condo on the 6th floor with an unobstructed ocean view. It was gorgeous. The condo was beautiful too. Just what we were hoping for. This picture is taken from our balcony.

A day on Lake Washington

Saturday we went out on Lake Washington with our friends Sherman and Elisabeth. It was a beautiful, warm day and was lots of fun.
Rylee was a little angel on the boat again. She looked adorable in her swim suit and hat! She is becoming quite the boat baby!

Lunch time!

We went to dinner at this cute little mexican restaurant on Lake Union. The food was great and the prickly pear margaritas were pretty delicious too!

My first Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was amazing. It is very strange to think of myself as a mother. Last year at this time we were at the beach house celebrating with my mother, wondering if we would be having a boy or girl. And now, I am the mother to this perfect, amazing little girl. She has made my life complete!
On Mother's Day, Rylee and Lance let me sleep in a bit, then made me breakfast in bed. We spent the beautiful, sunny day out on the lake, and then Lance took me to dinner at my favorite restaurant (the Purple Cafe) while the grandparents babysat Rylee. It was our first actual date since Rylee was born! The above flowers were waiting at out table when we were seated. (Not to mention I had already gotten roses that morning)!! What a sweet surprise! After dinner we had some family time with my parents and sister. It was a perfect day!

First boat outing

Today was beautiful so we decided to take Rylee out on the boat for the first time. She loves it! She's not so wild about the life jacket... but loves everything else about the boat! We cruised around the lake, anchored up for a bit, and even visited our friends Ma and Pa Thomas. Rylee even took a little power nap.

A weekend in Walla Walla

This weekend we drove down to Walla Walla to visit Grandparents and go wine tasting. This was Rylee during the first half of the car ride. She is such a good little traveler!
We went to Starbucks on Saturday morning. Grandpa had to show his cute little granddaughter off to all of his friends!
Tom and Annette babysat Saturdady afternoon so we could get away and go wine tasting. I forgot how much I love wine (and time alone with my hubby!)
Lance's cousin Erin also went wine tasting with us.
We haven't taken a picture together since Christmas!
Rylee loves her Grandpa Tom! We had a fun weekend and can't wait to go back and visit again!
