Sheep Lake hike

We've been wanting to do more hikes as a family.  Its hard to find free time, but we randomly all had a Sunday off so we took advantage and drove up to Mt. Rainier.
We hiked up to Sheep Lake.  It was a perfect afternoon hike, about 3.6 miles roundtrip.
It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful lake!
Kona had fun adventuring too.  We hope to do this more often!

Banks Lake 2026

Our trip to Banks lake this year was filled with smoke and haze.  We barely saw the sun through the haze... everything was a brown color.  The photos look vintage!

The weather was warm and we still had a great time as usual.
We did some water sports, caught some fish, did some cliff jumping, and did lots of relaxing.
The kids dug lots of holes.  The dogs had a blast running up and down the sand hills.
The kids tubed everyday... morning, afternoon and evening!  Kennedy is becoming a little daredevil!
The lake wasn't as busy as usual (probably due to the weather) so we were able to get our favorite beach (Waikiki) a couple of days.  Its the best!  A big sandy beach with shallow water and a climbing hill nearby.  The dogs loved it!
We went to the Mexican restaurant two nights in a row because it was so delicious.  Another fun trip with lots of memories made!

Spring and Summer with the Avengers

Rylee finished her season with the Avengers.   They ended the spring season 13-20.  Not the record we hoped for, but she had so much fun with the girls.  This may have been the best group of girls she's been with yet.  They all supported each other and had so much fun.
She hit lots of bombs- 10 to be exact (not including high school season).  One weekend she hit 4 homeruns in one game!  She ended the spring/ summer season with a .479 batting average.  Out of 35 hits, 16 were doubles.😶  So proud of my girl!
The team did lots of fun activities over the year.  This was an "anything but a bat" game.
One of the Moms on the team was a photographer so we were always so lucky to get great photos!
She had an incredible bond with a handful of the girls.  I hope they stay friends forever!
The last tournament was in Oregon.  It was fun for the girls to have some bonding time outside of the games.  The coach even treated everyone to a night at Top Golf!
We are very grateful for her coach Brett (see the tattoo🤣).  He wasn't going to coach again this year until Rylee asked him to.  At the time was still recovering from her ACL surgery and was struggling to find a team to take her on with an injury.  Brett basically built a team around her and supported her during her recovery and beyond.  Once she was cleared to play he gave her as much play time as she wanted.  He has been such an amazing coach and friend to her.  We are so thankful!
At the end of the last tournament the girls gathered on the field during sunset.  They sat for hours crying and laughing.  They didn't want to leave each other.  It was the sweetest thing.  We are so thankful for everything Coach Brett and the Avengers have done for us.  But now time to move on and try something new..... ✌
