Summer fun

We've had a great start to our summer.  We made it to a Rainiers game early this year.  Hoping to make it to a couple more before the season is over!
Rylee's had 2 sleepovers so far, and Carson's had one.  They've spent lots of time with their friends.  They've been to movies, out to dinner, eaten lots of ice cream, and been to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese.  This is what summer is all about!  Living their best lives!!
Carson and Lance have been out fishing a couple of mornings recently.  Carson took his friend Weilan one day , and Weilan was lucky enough to catch a big one!  He was so excited!
Carson lost 3 teeth this week, and 2 of them he lost today!  He's gonna be rich!
They've also been riding their bikes a ton, which I love!  They especially love riding them at skate parks and the BMX track.
I've spent some time with my girlfriends this summer too.  Tania, Angie and I went to the Chelsea Handler comedy show in Seattle and then went to the Hardrock rooftop bar afterward.  It was so fun!  Last week my friend Wendy was in town so we met up for dinner and some bar hopping in Enumclaw.  Love my girls!

Such a great summer so far!  And we're only 2 weeks in!  🌞

Happy Independence Day

We spent 4th of July with our neighbors.   They had a BBQ and tons of fireworks.  The kids had fun with the fireworks for the first hour, then spent the rest of the night on the neighbors new trampoline!
Such a fun evening!  Happy Independence Day!

Last Day of School

First day of school vs. Last day of school.  1st and 3rd grade.
I can't believe how much they've grown up!
Bus stop friends.  We are so lucky to have amazing neighbors and friends.  Not pictured- 2 other 1st grade boys!

Spring Baseball

Carson just finished his first season playing coach pitch with the Bonney Lake Little League.  It was such a great experience.  He had an awesome coach and a lot of his teammates were from his school.  He learned a lot and improved immensely throughout the season.  We'll definitely be back next season.  Go Mariners!

Walla Walla weekend with Grandparents

It's been a while since we've been to Walla Walla to visit Lance's parents, so we found a good weekend and decided to head over there.  They have a community pool right across the road from their house, so of course the kids were very excited.  Carson got up early Saturday morning and helped Papa Tom clean it and get it ready for the day.
Lance and I were able to sneak away Saturday afternoon for a mini date.  (Thanks Grandparents!) We went downtown and went wine tasting and did a little shopping in the sunshine.  It was wonderful!  Papa Tom and Anna took the kids to check out the Whitman Mission and then over to the new Veterans Memorial Pool.  They had a blast!
Rylee also helped Anna decorate a birthday cake for Lance.  She did a great job!  We had a family dinner on Saturday night at Anna's sisters house with her father Gene and Dorothy.  It was great to see them all again!  I wish I would have taken some pictures!
What a great weekend!  We need to visit more often.  Walla Walla is such a cute little town!
My friend Tania and her family dog-sat Coulee for us.  I'm sure Coulee was in heaven spending the weekend with her girlfriend Lola!  They are so cute together!
We went over Chinook Pass on the way home since it was such a beautiful day.  We even stopped to check out some new potential camping spots!  Score!

M's game

Lance took the kids to "Little League" day at the M's game last weekend.  They took the Sounder up with some other kids from Carson's team.  It was both kids first time on the Sounder and Carson's first Mariners game!

They had fun exploring the stadium and eating all kinds of yummy food.

Hiking Mt Peak

We finally got some great hiking weather so we took full advantage and hiked Mt Peak for the first time.  We took the steep side and I was a little worried about Coulee.  She's getting older and gets tired pretty easily these days.  Everyone did great (with the exception of a few whines from the kiddos "Are we to the top yet??"), and the kids even raced down.  This was a quick, fun hike and a great workout!  I'll definitely be doing it again soon!
