A date with Maddie

Today Rylee and I went to the Pacific Science Center in Seattle with our friends Michelle and Maddie. Rylee had so much fun running around, touching everything, and watching butterflies.

It's so much fun having friends with babies too! What a fun day.

Sick baby!

My poor baby is sick. Really sick. In her 15 months of life, I've never seen her so miserable. And it makes me miserable to be at work while she is home with Daddy. Lance took her to the doctor yesterday and found out that her cough, fever, runny nose, wheezing, decreased appetite is RSV. Which is of course a virus so we just have to suck it up and give her albuterol as needed. Today Lance took her back in for a follow up and discovered she now has an ear infection on top of it. I feel so helpless for her. At least Lance gets to stay home and get snuggles. I am praying she gets better as the doctor said she made need hospitalization if she gets any worse. Please send good thoughts her way!!

Seattle Aquarium

Yesterday we took advantage of the rainy day and headed down to the Seattle Aquarium. Rylee loves watching fish so we thought she would enjoy looking at and interacting with all the cool sea life there.Little did we know, her favorite things would be 1. her own stroller (climbing all over it but refusing to sit in it), 2. The blue lights that lit up a dark hallway, 3. A window that had holes she could put her hands through (meant to look out at the salmon ladder), and 4. running around in circles through the big open spaces.
She wasn't into touching the water (or the starfish or sea life in it), which I was surprised about because typically she wants to touch everything!!! Oh well, maybe she'll be more into it this summer when she's a little older.
All in all, it was a good day for all. We ended the day with a little dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. This baby LOVED all the fun treats she got- the cheesy bread, applesauce, ravioli, and ice cream!!!

Fun in the tub

Thought I'd share a pic of Rylee during bath time earlier this week. What a ham!

Happy New Year!

This year we went to Mandy and Jon's annual New Years Party. It was so much fun. Had a few jello shots, some good food, a little dance party, and hung out with some of my favorite people. Unlike last year (hey- we had a newborn!!) we even saw the ball drop! We stayed out later than we have in a long time. Needless to say, the only one who got dressed New Years Day was Rylee! =)

A visit from the Great Grandparents

Rylee's great-grandparents came to visit for Christmas this year. Rylee had a blast playing with Grandma Arlyss and listening to Grandpa Willis' radio. We wish they lived closer so we could see them more often! Miss you guys!

Merry Christmas 2010

I can't believe Christmas is over already! It came and went so fast. We had a wonderful holiday filled with family, friends, and great food and wine.
Rylee really enjoyed her presents this year. Her favorite was a dancing Mickey Mouse from Auntie Mandy. She could watch him for hours.
A close second was this cute little baby that talks and moves from Great Grandma Arlyss.
This Christmas was the best by far for us. It was so much fun watching Rylee play in all the wrapping paper. She played so hard on Christmas that she slept over 13 hours that night!
She also enjoyed opening her stocking on Christmas morning.
Even the dogs got to share in the festivities.
Rylee and Auntie got in some special bonding time.
This is a shot of the guys on Christmas eve. We hosted our annual Christmas eve party complete with the Santa gift exchange.
Also a pic of the lovely ladies!
Rylee loved the Christmas tree and all of the ornaments. She loves to pull off the big sparkly ones and then show them to us.
We were even able to paint her teeny toes a festive red! I can't tell you how cute it is to see those little toes painted!!! I don't think she'll ever have bare toes again!
We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
