Fall traditions

Coulee has been very helpful during the kids' virtual school.  She has to know what everyone is doing at all times and be right there to supervise.

The kids have been going on walks/ bike rides every day for recess, even in the rain.  Its a fun new routine, and a good way to rid of that extra energy!

One sunny fall day we went down to Point Ruston with the neighbors to ride bikes/ scooters and have lunch.  

We visited Picha Farms pumpkin patch with the Vehs for some pumpkin picking and a corn maze.

After the patch we had margaritas at a mexican restaraunt and then went back to our house for a bonfire.  It was such a fun day and evening!

Pumpkin carving was fun as usual.  Carson needed a little extra help since his pumpkin was so large.  They turned out really cute!

Birthday camping trip

 

Rylee asked for a father- daughter camping trip for her birthday.  Luckily there was good weather on birthday weekend, so Lance took her over to Cle Elum.  They found a good little spot and immediately started exploring.

They spent 2 days hiking, fishing, walking on logs, and letting Rylee drive the truck on the mountain roads.  😮

They had so much fun and created many memories.  I have no doubt she will request a camping trip for every birthday!

Rylee is 11!

        

She made her cake herself and was very proud.  She helped my parents' neighbor with a yard sale recently and found some cake pans and cupcake holders.  She had been looking forward to making her own cake and cupcakes for weeks.  She did a great job!  Kennedy loved helping open gifts.

                  

She started the morning of her birthday with a doughnut from Legendary Doughnuts.  Yummm.  She had a great day at virtual school.  Her class sang to her and asked her all about her bday plans.  She got an early birthday surprise... A new desk for her doll!  Now they can do schoolwork together.  =)

                 

            

These are the cupcakes she decorated.  So cute.  Her friends loved them!  After school on Friday her friends Alexis and Madeline came over for some pinata fun and Red Robin.  What a great day!

                 

Rylee turned 11 this weekend!  She had a 3 day celebration.  😊  On Thursday she was pampered with a haircut and style.  That evening Aunt Mandy, Uncle Jon and Kennedy                                   came over for dinner,  cake and celebrating.  

                                             

The moms got to catch up while the kids played.  Fun for all!

Saturday Lance took Rylee on an overnight camping trip.  That was her big request for her birthday.  I'll post pics on that next.

All in all it was a great birthday celebration weekend!  It looked a little different because of all the covid restrictions, but we tried to make the most of it.  I still can't believe my smiley Rylee is 11!  💓

One last summer getaway to Leavenworth

We escaped to Leavenworth for a long weekend to enjoy a few more warm summer days.  We stayed at the Icicle Village Resort, which was great!  The pool was open, they had mini golf, it was walking distance to town, and offered a 30% off discount for healthcare workers.  Score!

After "school" in the hotel room, we checked out the pump track which was just down the road from the hotel.  The kids loved it and were immediately obsessed.  After biking/ scootering for a while we walked the river trail to town and saw a bear!!  It was a little scary at the time, but also very cool!

In town we enjoyed some brews at Icicle Brewing and dinner at South.  So delicious!

The next day we played mini golf, wine tasted, played in the river, and went back to the pump  track.  Great day!

We wine tasted at Goose Ridge Cellars.  We had a little table right out front on the main street that was perfect for people watching.  🍷  It was a fun little getaway.  Now I'm ready for Fall!
