Camping at Schafer State Park

 

We went camping at Schafer State Park for part of spring break.  It was a beautiful park!  They recently updated a lot of the park so the amenities were really nice.

There was a fun 2 mile hiking trail at the park that Kona absolutely loved.

Rylee wasn't feeling well for part of the trip so Kona had to provide extra support. 😊

We walked the trail multiple times.  Kona loved exploring and being off leash.

The park was next to a river but unfortunately it was too early in the year to fish!  The boys were disappointed.

The kids played lots of pickleball in the empty campsite across from us.

It was great to get away for a few days and spend time as a family.  I wish we had more time to camp together!

Winter Memories 2024-2025

 

Kona loves doing everything we do!  She has been such a great addition to the family.

Rylee & Carson took over the Elf tradition this year.  They were pretty creative!

Rylee's softball team did a fundraiser selling Seattle Thunderbird tickets.  They had a blast at the game together!

Ariya took Rylee and Eva to an escape room in Point Ruston for her birthday.  Unfortunately they didn't escape, but they had a lot of fun!  

Rylee's team competed in a "Grinchfest" tournament at the Hub in Centralia (the indoor facility) in December.  Sadly they lost all their games, but they still had a lot of fun together!  Rylee had some great plays at shortstop!

Rylee's team had their holiday party at Top Golf.  I had never been, I loved it!  We will definitely be back soon!.

Our annual Christmas light viewing tradition.  Kona loved tagging along.

Rylee is driving!!! 😮She is taking drivers ed and wanting to drive everywhere.  How is this possible!?  Rylee and Lance took a drive to Poulsbo for some lunch and shopping, she did a great job!  She is actually a very cautious driver.

Lance and the kids met up with Uncle Peter when he flew into the Auburn airport.  Always nice to catch up with him.

One of the only ski trips this winter.  Unfortunately this was the day Rylee tore her ACL!  Booooo 😢

It only snowed a little this year, but Kona loved it!

Eva took Rylee to a Kraken game... lucky!  They had a great time.

We met up with the Seldens at Top Golf.  The kids had a blast competing with each other!

Rylee's softball team got together for a Galentines party.  I love that they have a bond even outside of softball!

My friend Wendy moved back to Enumclaw!  Its been so great having her close and getting together whenever we want!

Rylee, Eva, Eva's mom Sandy and I went to see Sunroom at Neumos in Seattle.  They put on a fun show!

Carson's 13th Bday

Happy 13th Bday to this guy!  We celebrated with dinner out after a school basketball game.

The next weekend he had a sleepover with some friends and went to Ocean 5 for some duckpin bowling, laser tag and arcade games.

The Avengers take Vegas

Rylee's softball team had a tournament in Las Vegas so we (and another family) went down a little early to enjoy the sites.  We stayed in downtown Vegas the first night and took the kids to explore Freemont Street.  They enjoyed it but were also shocked at a lot of the things they saw! 

The next morning we walked Freemont Street and got some delicious doughnuts from Pinkbox.

Later that afternoon we drove out to Red Rock Canyon.  It was so beautiful!  We drove the loop and did a really cool hike.

The girls were super excited to check out Swig and Raising Cane's.  They were both delicious!

We had to walk the strip and check out some of the iconic spots- the M&M and Hershey store of course!

The kids loved walking through all the cool hotels, especially the New York New York, Paris and Bellagio.  So many things to look at!  We had to do the NYNY coaster.  In fact, Rylee went back with some teammates and rode it again 3 times!

The Bellagio had a really cool Japanese garden to walk through.  It was gorgeous!

The fountain show was great as always.  I loved the Pink Panther theme song!

We rode the lightrail, watched the sphere (so cool!) and ate lots of good food.  Our hotel was right next to a Chick Fil A... Rylee's fave!

The girls got in lots of bonding time.  Rylee couldn't play due to her ACL injury but she still had fun being there and supporting her team.

We all went to the pinball museum.  There were so many old machines, it was pretty cool to get to play some of them!

Rylee and Joslyn had a lot of fun riding in the car! 😅

Rylee's coach paid for all the girls to go to a Cirque Du Soleil show at MGM.  We decided to tag along too.  It was a great show!

It was a fun week of softball and bonding.  Go Avengers! 🥎
