Another swimmer in the family!

Rylee decided to swim for the school team this year.  Her friend Maddie was doing it so she figured it would be a fun was to stay in shape.  She started practicing with the team in the summer and learned most of the strokes.  She really enjoyed it and wished she had started sooner.  She competed in leagues and even made it to districts.  Pretty crazy for it being her first year!

Districts:
*100 yard breaststroke: prelim time 1:17.02 (PR), finals time: 1.17.68 (placed 12th out of 16).
*200 Yard Medley Relay: prelim time 2:03.22, finals time 2:04.22 (placed 10th out of 14).
*400 yard freestyle relay: prelim time: 4:15.49, finals time: 4:16.22 (placed 11th out of 13).
Sidenote- she competed in district finals after getting up at 5am and playing 2 softball games that morning in Everett!  She was exhausted by the end of the meet.
She had such a great season and surprised everyone with her natural swimming ability!  The coaches were thrilled to have her on the team this year.  We are so proud of her! 🥳
