We spent the last weekend of Spring break at Skamania Lodge, a beautiful resort in the Columbia River Gorge national scenic area. The hotels grounds were stunning and we even got a little bit of sunshine while we were exploring.
The hotel had this gorgeous great room with a giant, beautiful fireplace, lots of big rocking chairs and cool views.
The kids' favorite part of the hotel was the play area (with a tire swing!), hiking the trails around the hotel, and of course the swimming pool and hot tub! We walked the trails around the golf course and Carson kept asking if this was where the "mini vans" drive (he meant the golf carts). It was pretty cute.
We spent Saturday adventuring around the little town of Stevenson. We walked (and biked) around town and found a little beach to make a driftwood log cabin on. The kids loved looking for treasures on the beach and throwing rocks in the water.
We found this cool little Brewery that was having a festival for April Fools Day. They called it Fools Fest. The brewery had live music all day and food and delicious beer!
Saturday night we had wine and s'mores by the fire. It was a fun way to end an exciting weekend.
