We've had a few days of sunshine this spring (not many), but we've definitely enjoyed the days we've had. Even on the rainy days we try to get out when there's a break to take a quick walk or bike ride.
Rylee participated in a "Jog-a-thon" at her school a couple of weeks ago. She made personal phone calls to raise money for the school (thanks family!) and then ended up jogging 10 laps (2 1/2 miles). Not too shabby!
Rylee also lost another tooth last week. The tooth fairy visited and brought $1.50 and a treat. She has to get a couple of teeth pulled this summer to make room for the big ones trying to come in. I'm a little nervous but apparently it's pretty common. More to come on that. Yikes!
Carson had his kindergarten assessment last week. The teachers meet with all the new kindergartners to find out where their skills are at and how to prepare for the school year. Carson did great. We've been working hard on letter sounds and recognition and it's definitely paid off! He was so excited and proud of himself. He cannot wait to start school.
This picture was from Mothers Day. We went for a quick walk in between rain showers. The kids made me breakfast, took me to lunch, and showered me with cards and gifts. It was a great day!
The kids have been painting rocks and writing messages on them to leave at different parks for others to find. We found some the other day at the park and the kids have been obsessed with them ever since. It's pretty cute.
We recently changed our office and added another desk so Lance could have more space to work. I found Carson in there today doing school work on the computer just like Dad. =)
Tonight we pulled out one of Carson's birthday presents that we hadn't opened yet. It was this cool volcano that you add baking soda and vinegar to and then it erupts. The kids loved it. It was fun watching their faces and how excited they were.
The kids have been playing outside a TON this spring, rain or shine. This is a cute video of them sword fighting in the backyard. They play so well together when they are not wanting to kill each other!
