Christmas Day 2021

We woke up Christmas morning to overflowing stockings.  The kids were so excited!  Santa came! 🎅
It started snowing Christmas morning.  It was so magical!

This was one of my favorite Christmas' ever.  The kids were just so excited and thankful for everything.  Kennedy was at such a fun age and loved to open her gifts.  She was so cute to watch.
We saved the biggest surprise for last.  We made the kids think they were done opening gifts, and then surprised them with a small box with a letter inside.  The letter ended by telling them to go outside.  They went on the front porch and were very surprised.  You can see the excitement in Carson's face.  They immediately got their helmets on and started riding.
Kennedy got a new scooter too!  She was so cute trying to keep up with the kids.
We celebrated Dad's birthday in the evening with a delicious prime rib and crab dinner, and then some game playing.
It snowed on and off all day.  It was a beautiful Christmas!

Christmas Eve 2021

The annual Christmas Eve party at the Rychlinskis was back on this year.  It was a little smaller due to pass conditions (Hana and family live in Ellensburg) and another family with Covid.  It was a great time as always!  Great food, good company, and a fun gift exchange.  Kennedy was adorable as always.
The kids had fun trying to open the saran wrap ball with oven mitts.  It was fun to watch!  They came home with lots of treats and little toys.
We got home from the party and left out milk and cookies for Santa... I hope he comes 😊

Holiday fun and traditions

We've made SO MANY COOKIES!!  🍪  We made some pretzel rods and snickerdoodle chex mix to start the season off.  The chocolate pretzels are so good!  Carson even brought one to his teacher.
Our neighbor Barb invited the kids over for some cookie decorating.  This has turned into an annual event.  Barb bought them some fun holiday gear and sent them home with Christmas gifts.  She is so sweet. She is like a grandmother to the kids.  We have the best neighbors!
We hosted my Mom, Sister and niece for our annual cookie baking at our house.  We made magic bars, snowballs, candy canes, sugar cookies, and peanut butter kiss cookies.
The kids got bored of decorating the sugar cookies pretty early on, so the adults had to finish.  I didn't mind!
Just a few of the cookies.  I forgot to get a pic of the finished products!
Kennedy LOVES sugar.  She kept coming back in the kitchen to sneak hershey kisses and cookies.  We couldn't even be upset, just look at that sweet face!
Lance, Carson and I dressed in our holiday gear for a neighborhood Holiday party.  Can't go wrong with red plaid!
We did our annual "get in the car and go see Christmas lights" tradition.  Hot cocoa in hand of course.
Mandy and Jon graciously took the kids to "Christmas in Color" drive through lights in Federal Way.  They got to sit in the back of the truck with Kennedy, they had a blast!  Kennedy kept saying it was "amazing."  Then they treated them to dinner at Wendys.  The best!
Lance and I took the kids to "Holiday Magic" at the fairgrounds.  It was really fun!  There was shopping (I bought a fun pillow for the camper), lots of lights, food, hot cocoa and cookies, a carousel and train ride, a laser light show set to Christmas music, and lots of places to take selfies.  We had a great time!  There was ice skating too, but we opted not to do that.  The rink was pretty small, and the kids may go next week with their Aunt and Uncle.
We loved all the fun photo ops!
We ended the night with scones and a ride on a lighted shuttle to our car.  It was a great family night!
Now we are officially ready for Christmas and more family time!🎄Merry Christmas!🎅
