Rylee had such a great season of Fall sports! She was busy with practices and/or games daily. She loved every minute of it! She had basketball after school, and volleyball in the evenings.
She loved her volleyball team. She knew a few of the girls from school or prior volleyball teams, so she was happy to have some familiar faces. She had a great coach who was really supportive and made the practices fun. They all learned and improved so much. They won all but one of their games. Rylee cannot wait for school volleyball in the Spring! I didn't take very many videos of the volleyball games, but here is one showing her killer serve.
Middle school basketball was a little tougher than Rylee thought. She had to try out at the beginning of the season, and she was very disappointed that she did not make JV or Varsity. She wanted to quit in the beginning (I think she was a little embarrassed), but she stuck it out and did really well. I may be a little biased, but I think she was easily the best girl on her team. She consistently scored half or at least a third of the points each game. She played point guard and loved it. The team ended the season with 6 wins and 4 losses. They improved so much. They definitely learned to be a lot more aggressive throughout the season. It was so fun and exciting to watch!!
We are so proud of her two awards. She was such a positive and supportive teammate. She cheered her team on and encouraged them. You could tell all the girls liked and respected her.
Her cousins Jack and Ace (and Aunt Julie) even made it to a basketball game!
