Fall pics

The kids went to the fair a couple times with their friends (without us!!) so Lance and I had a date night there one evening.  Its always a good time!
My sweet Kona!  She's the best.
Us girls went to see Thomas Rhett and Tucker Wetmore at the White River amphitheater.  It was a pain getting there and back due to the Enumclaw bridge closure, but it was worth it!  They put on a great show and it was fun for us girls to hang out!
Lance and I went to see Old Dominion (yes... again.  I love them!)  at the Angel of the Winds arena in Everett.  Ernest was the opener.  They were so good!  I could watch them every weekend!

Carson finished his middle school season of baseball.  They didn't do the greatest this year, but it was still really fun to watch them!  The ended the season 5-3-2.  Carson had a shoulder injury so he didn't get to pitch as much as he would have liked, but he did great when he did pitch.  In his first 2 games pitching he had 10 strikeouts each game!  Below are the pictures of his 3 years playing varsity (from left to right is 6th, 7th and 8th grade).  He seemed so tiny in 6th grade.  Now he's as tall as I am!
Lance, Rylee and I went to see Eric Church at Climate Pledge.  We had dinner at Perihelion Brewery and took the lightrail and Monorail to the arena.  It was a beautiful night in Seattle!
Rylee was inducted into the National Honor Society.  We are so proud of her!
Lance and Papa Tom went on their annual fishing trip on the Grande Ronde river.  They had great weather and caught lots of fish.  What more could you ask for?

NOCO- the homecoming that never was

Homecoming was such a bummer this year!  It started out well.  Rylee went over to a friends house for brunch and bouquet making.  Then all the girls got ready together and took pictures.  About the time parents were arriving to take pictures a storm was getting started outside.  It started pouring as soon as they were ready to leave the house, and it didn't stop all night.  The power went off shortly after they got in the limo.  As they were heading to dinner we received a notice from school that the dance was cancelled due to no power!  Its probably a good thing, as the storm was pretty bad and there were trees an branches all over the roads.  The kids ended the night back at her friend Kai's house for a hang out and sleepover.  They still had a great time, but not quite the homecoming they had planned on!

Remembering Grandpa Willis

My Grandpa Willis passed away on Oct 27th.  He was 96.  Mom, Dad, Mandy and I were able to fly to MN to celebrate his life with family.
It was really nice to see family we haven't seen in a long time.  Willis has a huge family (4 kids plus all their kids and grandkids), so it was nice to get to know them as well.

The ceremony was really nice.  Willis was an army veteran so it was a military funeral.  They did the gun salute and presentation of the flag.  It was a beautiful afternoon.
Willis' grandson Daniel played taps.
We had to get a few family photos at the church.
Willis will be very missed.  We played some cards in his honor and talked about our memories with him.  He lived a long, full life and I am grateful to have had him in my life for 25 years! 💕

Halloween

We had a limited time to celebrate the spooky season this year due to our October trip to Disneyland.  We were still able to fit in a couple of fun Halloween events. Unfortunately our annual girls pumpkin patch outing was cancelled due to rain and illness.  We'll have to make up for it next year!  Carson and his girlfriend Aria decorated pumpkins together.  They did a great job!
Carson went trick or treating with his friends this year.  It was pouring rain but they still have a lot of fun.  He and his friends were different versions of Tyler the Creator.  This was the first year that Rylee didn't go trick or treating!  She and her friend Eva went to a Thunderbird hockey game instead.
Lance decorated the porch again, this year was a disco theme.  He was fishing with his Dad during Halloween this year,  so I handed out candy.  We had maybe 8 groups stop by, more than previous years!
