Spring Break

We didn't go anywhere for spring break this year.  We usually try to do a weekend trip, or I at least take time off work to do some fun activities.  This year has just been so crazy that we decided to keep it low key.  The kids started the week with a trip to Point Ruston with the neighbors.  They rode scooters and had lunch and ice cream along the waterfront.

One evening we decided to check out the new Gordon and Purdys Public House in Sumner.  They recently moved to a new location and opened an arcade next door so the kids can play while waiting for dinner.  They have all the old school games and most of them are only 25 cents to play!  It was fun.

We also went to the new adventure park in Federal Way- Catapult.  The kids had a blast rock climbing, zip lining and bouncing on the trampolines.
We also checked out Dave and Busters for a couple of hours.  The kids had a blast playing all the games.  There are so many to choose from!
I just love this time of year.  My spring flowers are blooming and they are so pretty!
This week was hot enough for the kids to play in the sprinklers.  We were spoiled with summer weather in April.  I don't want the sun to leave!  Looking forward to summer adventures...

Neighborhood Easter celebration

We returned from camping just in time to decorate eggs and get ready for our 1st annual neighborhood egg hunt!  The kids started at the Kearby's house at the bottom of the hill, then came to our house, then the Rolene's and lastly the Verdugos at the top of the hill.  So much fun for the kiddos!  We ended the day with a BBQ at the Kearby's house.  Such a fun new way to celebrate Easter!  The kids will be eating candy for weeks.

Camping at Tolt MacDonald Park

We just returned from our 2nd camping trip with our new camper!  We checked out Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation.  It was so close, less than an hour from our house.  I never knew this little gem even existed!

The RV sites were pretty private and most of them backed up to a wooded area.  There was a big paved loop around the campsite which was great for riding bikes.  The big field in the middle was great for playing ball!

The campground had a cool suspension bridge over the Snoqualmie river that connected the RV sites with the tent and yurt sites.

There were lots of walking/ hiking trails around the park that were perfect for riding bikes on.  The river and beach was fun to explore.  The kids loved climbing across all the logs.
The playground was an added bonus.
The kids (and Lance) spent a lot of time carving sticks this trip.
The biking trails were awesome!   They love any excuse to be able to ride their bikes.
Downtown Carnation was a short walk from the park.  We checked out an antique store and had coffee and treats at a local cafe.  Such a fun trip.  We will definitely be back!
