Winter traditions

We went out to the beach house when my parents returned from Arizona.  Their house was so pretty in the snow!
We went to visit Aunt Diane in her assisted living facility and helped her decorate her tree.  The kids did a great job!
We came home to more snow!  So much fun.
My mom, sister and Kennedy came over for our annual cookie baking tradition.  Yummm....
Our neighbor Barb hosted some of the neighborhood kids for some cookie decorating.  They sang Christmas carols and ate lots of sugar.  We love our neighbors!
We are dog sitting over winter break so we took Tanner with us to look at Christmas lights.  He loved it!  We make hot cocoa to take along.  The kids sang lots of Christmas songs until the sugar kicked in and they started annoying each other.  🤣  Always a fun tradition!

Pep band concert

Rylee played in the pep band during one of the girls varsity basketball games.  She played in the JV game right before, and then had to quickly change and get to the stands.  It was also PJ day at school which is why she's in her PJ pants!
My parents came to watch/ listen as well.  They did a great job and played some fun songs.

Fall festivities

My annual Scottsdale girls weekend was in September this year.  My friend Michelle came for the first time as well.  We had such an amazing time!  Pool time, massages, margaritas, good food and great friends.  Nothing better!  💗
Carson started a select baseball team this summer and has been practicing twice a week.  Tournaments start in January.  We are so excited!
Rylee went to the pumpkin patch with her friends Eva and Ariya.  They did the corn maze and took lots of fun pictures.  What a beautiful day!

Carson and his buddies went to Bingo night at school.  Damon was the only winner out of the group, but it was still a good time!
My girlfriends and I went to the Lizzo concert at Climate Pledge Arena.  It was a really fun show and a great girls night!
I wasn't feeling great on my birthday this year, but Lance and I still ventured out to do a little Christmas shopping.  Rylee had a basketball game after school that day and they won just for me!  😊 Then we had a family dinner at Toscanos.  Delicious!
I didn't get many photos from Thanksgiving this year.  We hosted Lance's side of the family for dinner on the Friday after Thanksgiving.  It was great!  Then we had family over Saturday and Sunday for games and family time.

Coulee bear

We had to say goodbye to our Coulee Bear on November 18th, 2022.
She had been declining over the past couple of years, but she really took a turn for the worst on her last week.  Her back legs were always weak, but one of her front legs started giving out as well.  We didn't want her to get hurt or suffer.
It was hard saying goodbye of course, but we had 14 great years with her.  She was an amazing dog.  She was always up for any adventure.
She loved swimming and going on the boat.  She used to launch off of our friends dock (picture above) and then she was even able to climb the ladder to get back on the dock.  She could also climb up our boat ladder.  It was pretty impressive.  She loved chasing sticks (not balls) and beach walking.  At my parents house she would stick her head under the water, grab a rock, and then chew off all the barnacles.  She loved camping, hiking, and car rides.  She was the perfect dog for our family.
She loved her family and friends fiercely.  She was our protector and never let us out of her sight.  We will miss her so much!

Kayak Point County Park camping and Walker Hayes

We camped at Kayak Point county park this weekend.  It was very cold, but also sunny and beautiful.
The campground was great!  The campsites were wooded and private.  There was a short trail to the beach area where there was a pier, a playground, and large field.
There were some beautiful sunsets.
Coulee loved being there with us.
There was a short hike through the woods around the campground.  It was nice to get out and enjoy nature, even in the cold!
We went to see Walker Hayes on Saturday night at the Angel of the Winds Arena.  It was a fun show and Carson's first concert!  I think he had a good time.  I know I did!
