Soccer in the rain

Rylee had her first soccer practice yesterday.  Of course it was POURING down rain.  She had fun but was a little icicle afterwards.  It was so much fun to watch all the little kids running around kicking the ball.  We are doing soccer through a program called "Kidz love soccer" and there are no games.  It's all about learning how to play and having fun doing it.

More Easter fun

Since we were in Cali for Easter we decided to celebrate it the weekend after with my parents and sister.  We had an egg hunt for the kids in the backyard and a delicious ham dinner that night.

Carmel, CA

We just got back from a long weekend in Carmel, CA.  Lance's sister Tamara and her family live there.  Rylee was absolutely in love with her cousin Mira who is 12.  She followed her everywhere.  Luckily Mira didn't seem to mind too much!  =)  There are no pictures with cousin Ryan well, because he is a teenager, and we all know how that goes.
We spent lots of time just playing!  We went to a park the first day, and another day we went tide pooling.  Carson especially liked that.  He loved looking for little crabs and other creatures.
Carson loved having Uncle Chris read him stories.
Rylee's favorite part of the trip was getting to see Mira's horse.  She got to help brush, feed, and get the horse ready to ride.
They both were in heaven riding that horse.  I didn't think we'd ever be able to leave!
We also spent time at the beach.  There was a little lagoon that the kids loved playing in.  They were so cute to watch!
The last day we visited the Monterrey Bay aquarium.  Wow....  What a fun place!  The kids had a blast looking at and touching the sea life.  Favorites- the sea horses, octopus, sea otters, and the giant tank.  We even saw a huge sea turtle.  Very cool.
What a fantastic weekend.  We were so spoiled.  We basically had our own chauffeur and a fabulous tour guide.  Not to mention all of our delicious meals were prepared for us!  Thanks Tamara!

Game Farm Park

Another beautiful day.  The kids and I spent a few hours celebrating the sunshine at Game farm park.  We did some playing, bike riding and picnic-ing.  Did I mention how much I LOVE spring?!

Happy (early) Easter!

We'll be out of town Easter weekend so how perfect was it that my work hosted an Easter Egg hunt (and other fun Easter activities) the weekend before?  The kids were super excited to hunt for eggs.  (Well, Rylee was.  Carson picked up 4 eggs and said "I done.")
Carson even got to hang with his BFF Ronan.  Notice the matching bellies and bunny faces.
They got to meet the Easter bunny (Rylee wouldn't go near him), have lots of Easter treats, and even get a balloon horse and sword.  What a fun time!
Happy Easter!  We are headed to Cali next week so will post on that soon!

Fun times at the Spring Fair

What a beautiful spring day to spend at the spring fair.  Carson is finally at an age where he can go on a few rides (4 to be exact).  He absolutely LOVED every ride he went on.  He would have gone on many, many more if he was only a tad bit taller.  In fact, as soon as we got to the fair, he pointed at the zipper (which is my favorite ride) and said "I go."
This fire engine ride was his very first ride.  He smiled and waved the whole time.
He wasn't quite tall enough for this one, but we sweet talked our way onto it.  He had a blast "driving" his car.
Of course sissy had to get a horse painted on her face!
Carson yelled "I flying" throughout this entire ride.  It was pretty cute.
Carson went on the fire engine ride 4 times.  I think he liked it.  =)  The last time was free because he used his Craig power and flirted with the ride operator!  Rylee went on a few of her favorite rides without Carson.  She loves the swings and the carousel.
