Grandparent visit at the Beach house

We had not seen my parents for months, since they were in Mexico when this whole pandemic started.  We finally decided to give in and visit them a couple of weeks ago.  We missed them... and the beach!!
We spend lots of time catching up, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and bonfiring on the beach.
Coulee got to swim, save sticks, and eat barnacles.  She could barely walk the next day.  😃
We couldn't get together for Easter due to Covid, so my parents did a belated Easter egg hunt for the kids.  So many eggs!!  They will have candy for weeks!
We had a great time as always and will definitely be back soon!

Much needed Manson getaway

We were getting sick of the usual scenery at home, so we decided to get outta town!  We heard the pool was open at our favorite little spot in Manson so we jumped on it.  It was so nice to get away and enjoy some sunshine and relaxation.
We took a little walk through the Chelan Riverwalk Park.  We saw baby quail, baby ducks and marmots.  Its such a cool walk and such beautiful scenery!
We had to reserve the pool and hot tub due to the covid rules, but luckily no one was ever there.  The kids had it all to themselves.  They were in heaven!
Lance and I tried the wine slushies for the first time from the Rio Vista winery at the cabin across the street from out hotel.  They were SO delicious.  We will definitely be getting them again!
We got dinner to go and ate at the beach park.  The kids played in the water until sunset.  Such a fun way to end the day.
The next morning was Lance's birthday so we celebrated by eating breakfast at out favorite spot- Blueberry Hills.  Yummmmmm.  We even got to sit outside on the deck.
This girl lost 2 teeth on the day we left!  Luckily, the tooth fairy found us in Manson.  🦷

Springtime fun in the sun

We've had some amazingly warm and sunny days this spring.  The kids have been very helpful with chores and yardwork.  Our yard is looking fantastic!  That's one plus to this social distancing situation.
The kids are really itching to go camping, so Lance set up the tent in the backyard and the kids did a little faux camping.  They even roasted hot dogs and smores.
I came home on Mothers day to a clean house, homeade cards and coupons and the kids all dressed up.  They are pretty cute.  😍
The kids have spent a lot of time together during this quarantine and have become really close.  They are so creative and really use their imaginations when playing together.
They are still doing home schooling- one more week to go.... woo hoo!  We are all ready for a break.
They have been spending a lot of time outside, riding bikes, playing on the neighbors trampoline and swimming in the neighbors pool.  Rylee watched the Hunger Games and is in love with Katniss.  Lance helped the kids make homeade bows and arrows.  They are pretty cool!
Lance has taken the kids fishing in the boat on Lake Tapps multiple times.  They haven't caught much, but they just love being out on the water.  They've even been swimming.  Brrrrrr!
