10 years in the making

A few months ago Jon flew Mandy to Roche Harbor and proposed.  Of course she said YES and now they are planning their wedding!
They are planning on getting married Feb. 3rd 2013 (the 10 year anniversary of their first date) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  I couldn't be more excited.
We hosted an engagement party for them this weekend.  We had Jon's family (with the exception of a few that were sick), our family, and lots of great friends over.  Everyone had such a great time.

Of course Wood man and Monica made an appearance.  They were even decked out in their Mexican gear.  I think that means they want to go to the wedding too!
Mandy gave her bridesmaids festive little pails filled with champagne, a fun colored passport holder, and a cute little note asking us to be her bridesmaids.  Her bridesmaids will be me, Julie, Annea, and Jon's sisters: Hana, Ksavera, and Erin.  (Annea and Erin were both sick and couldn't make it to the party to celebrate).

Congrats to the happy couple!  We couldn't be more excited for them.  They are wonderful together and Jon is a perfect addition to our family.

36 weeks

36 weeks.  Wow.  I can hardly believe that this baby could come at any time!  I am ready to be done.  The last couple days have been difficult.  I am uncomfortable and my legs ache.  I have lots of pressure on my pelvis which makes me have to pee literally every hour or so, I can't sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time.  He moves a lot, which I love.  That is the only part of pregnancy I will miss, feeling my little baby kick and turn in my belly.  I am ready to meet this little man!

The big storm

We had our first big storm of the year 2 weeks ago.
Lot's of snow, icy roads, a windstorm, trees down, power outages for days.  Not fun.  We lost a big tree from our backyard, and some small ones too.
This is a shot of just some of the debris Lance and my dad picked up.  Needess to say, they were both very sore afterward!  Thank goodness for Ibuprofen.
After shot.  We have lots more open space without the tree- and a great view of our shed =).  Luckily the tree didn't damage the fence at all.  What a week it was!

More First's

Her first movie in the theater: Beauty and the Beast 3D.

Her first haircut.  (Left is before, Right is after... notice the bangs)

Carson's baby shower

We started Sunday with SNOW!!!  Rylee had a blast playing outside with the beautiful white fluff.
In the afternoon we headed over to my friend Tania's house where she hosted an amazing baby shower for Rylee, me and of course baby Carson!  It snowed pretty much all day on and off so some friends weren't able to make it.  We had a blast celebrating with the friends that did come.
Tania really went all out with the decorations.  She did a nautical theme (perfect for us!!) in a green and blue.  She had boats, life rings, summer onesies, and lots of stripes.  I was really touched by all the time she put into it.  Everything looked amazing!!
The food and drink was delicious too.  There was my favorite pina colada punch, hot cocoa, wine (of course), chicken salad sandwiches, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and lots of other goodies.
The boys dropped by to show off the new babies.  Kennedy (on the left) belongs to Dino and Chenda and is 3 months old.  Ronan (on the right) belongs to Elisabeth and Sherman and is just 6 weeks old.  They are both simply adorable.  LOVE the chubby cheeks.
Rylee got some good playtime in with Alexis (Tania's daughter who is 11 months younger than Rylee).  They had fun watching the snow out the window.

Michelle is 6 1/2 months pregnant and due in April.  She is having a boy too (Logan).  She has a daughter Maddie who is 9 months younger than Rylee.
I had lots of help opening my presents.   Carson got some great gifts.  He is very loved already!  We are a very lucky family.  I have wonderful friends that mean the world to me.  Thank you everyone for venturing out to help celebrate my special day!

33 weeks

I've made it to 33 weeks.  I feel like I've gained a ton in the last few weeks.  I've been super tired with sore legs and feet and lots of braxton-hicks contractions.  Sleeping is off and on.  Not sure if it's because it's a boy or because it's the 2nd time around, but this pregnancy has been SO much harder on me.  I am ready to be done and meet this little boy!
