Project update

Lance recently lost his job, so he has been keeping busy with his "honey-do list." Here are pictures of his recent projects:

He put bamboo wood flooring in our master bedroom (it was carpet before). It looks amazing. Our master bathroom used to be carpet. When we moved in we said this would be the first thing to go. Well... you know how house projects go. Needless to say, it's finally gone! We now have a beautiful brown porcelain tile floor in it's place.
We still have plans for more upgrades to this bathroom but in the mean time this will do. He still needs to finish the baseboards, and then he also has a little mirror project in the works. It's kind of nice having him home to do these things that we never had time for!

More beach time!

This weekend we ventured out to the beach house to celebrate Mandy's birthday. It was mostly rainy, but we found a few sun breaks to sneak outside and play. Rylee's favorite part of the beach is feeding the seagulls with Grandpa. She LOVES the seagulls. Every time she sees them she squawks and squeals at them. Rylee made a special bond with Grandpa this weekend, and now calls him "pa pa" (although it sounds like "ba-ba").
Rylee wanted to sit in the kayak after hearing Jon's story about going overboard the day before. Brrr!!
She got to spend some time with Auntie (or "A-nie" as Rylee calls her) and Uncle Jon. They spent a few nights there to celebrate Mandy's birthday. My parents came up Friday night and we all got to relax and catch up together. We do not see them enough!! Miss you guys!

Beach time in Sequim

We spent this weekend visiting family in Sequim. It was fun and relaxing to catch up again. Rylee loved playing with her cousins Jessica and Mathew. Sunday we trekked down to the beach in the misty, grey weather. Rylee had fun looking at the waves and eating sand and rocks.

Swim lessons

Rylee started swim lessons last week. She's been twice now (although the 1st one was cut short because one of the babies puked in the pool). She absolutely loves the water (or as she says "wa-wa.") She is a natural and it is so precious to watch her and Lance together in the pool!
