Family, fishing and FUN!

We just finished a fun, family filled weekend.  The Bend Craig's came to visit, so needless to say, the kids were nonstop energy and worn out every night.  Saturday we went to a family BBQ at Uncle Stuart's house.  There were a few new people there I hadn't met before, and 2 new cousins (ages 2 and 6) that the kids absolutely loved.  I don't think we saw the kids that entire day.
Before the BBQ we met at a park in Redmond for some climbing and running around.  It was such a cool park!
 Rylee (4), Cole (6), Ace (6), Carson (2), Jack (7), Tamryn (2), and Eden (2)
Jack and Ace taught Carson all kinds of new dance moves.  =)
Thanks cousin Jessica for keeping an eye on the kids so we could have some adult time!
The rest of the weekend was spend doing lots of fishing.  The kids even took a dip in the lake... Brrrr!
Such fun times and lots of memories made.  I wish we all lived closer and could do this more often!

A "Day out with Thomas"

We went to a "Day out with Thomas" today at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie.  It was super cool.  Carson absolutely LOVES trains so he was in heaven.  They had lots of fun activities for the kids, and of course a ride on the "Thomas" train.
 Meeting Sir Topham Hat
Afterwards we went to check out Snoqualmie Falls and do a little hiking.  Absolutely beautiful.

4th of July weekend

Another fun weekend at the beach house.  We celebrated Mom's birthday and the 4th of July.  We saw the most amazing fireworks display.  We sat on the beach by a bonfire and there were fireworks (and I mean BIG fireworks) ALL around us.  To the left, to the right, and across the water.  It was awesome!
My mom took the kids out there on Wednesday so they could spend some extra time with them.  They went to the pool, did arts and crafts (see the tree above), and played on the beach.  They were pretty much in heaven and did not want to leave on Sunday!

Carson had his first s'more by our beach bonfire.  It took him about 20 minutes to eat it... he savored every bite!
This was Rylee and Carson's absolute favorite part of the weekend.  Carson was hilarious.  He would jump in and swim all over the pool by himself.  He is such a good swimmer!  He impressed everyone at the pool.

Another fun beach weekend in the books!

Updates

I made a trip to Minnesota last month for my Grandmother's funeral.  It was a sad reason for the trip, but it ended up being really fun.  It was nice to see family again and reminisce about memories of the past.  It was also nice to travel with my family.  It's been forever since we've done anything just the four of us.
Rylee finished up her soccer season.  She had a blast and we'll definitely do it again next year.  She improved so much in just a short 6 weeks.  We'd like to continue this summer, but the practices are on Sundays and we are just too busy with other fun activities!!
The kids have been playing so well together lately.  It's so sweet to watch the special bond they share.
We've been having a little fun on the lake too.  =)  Can't wait to do more of this...
