1st day of school- 4th and 6th grade

Back to School!!  And even better... back to IN PERSON school!!!  🍎

Rylee is now in 6th grade (middle school) at Lakeridge Middle School.  Her electives are PE and band.  She is playing after school softball/ fastpitch.

Carson is in 4th Grade at Bonney Lake Elementary.  His teacher is Mrs. Claunch.  He is playing Fall ball.
These are some of our crazy neighbor kids waiting for the bus.  Too much fun!  We are hoping for a fun but safe and healthy school year.  So happy to be back in school!

Labor day weekend camping at Ohanapecosh

We camped at Mt Rainier for Labor Day weekend.  We had never been to Ohanapecosh but had heard amazing things about it, so when our neighbor invited us we were definitely in!  We camped with 2 families from our neighborhood, so Carson had lots of boys to play with.

The first day we ventured down to the river.  The kids swam (Brrrrr) and climbed on the many fallen logs.
Behind our campsite was a big hill that led down to the river.  The kids played down there and built an awesome fort out of rocks and logs.
The above right picture is the fort they built.
Carson and Lance did some rock jumping into the river.  Carson is so brave, he kept wanting to jump higher and higher.  It was a shock to his system every time he hit that cold water.  Brrrrrr!!
The second day we hiked to Silver Springs waterfall and the Grove of the Patriarchs.  The waterfall was beautiful and a great halfway point to rest.
The Grove of the Patriarchs was pretty cool.  The trees were huge!
This natural "slide" was pretty awesome!
The third day we drove into Packwood to go to their big flea market, then had lunch at the White Pass Taqueria and Taproom.  That evening we walked around and explored the campground.
The kids had a blast on the hammocks.  We were able to put up 6 hammocks between 4 trees, so each kids was able to have one.  They loved it!  All the campers walking by commented on them.
Every night we played games and sat around the fire.  The kids always rode bikes at dusk.  It was such a fun trip and a great campground!  We will definitely be back!

More summer fun

We had a great summer.  It was busy to say the least, but lots of fun.  Lance and I went to watch my friend Marks band, The Reaching, play at Farm 12.  We hadn't seen them play for a couple of years, so it was awesome to see them live again.
We went to a couple of Rainiers games.  One with our family, and then another with The Millers (Amber, Tad and their kids Reese and Quinn).  I just love going to the Rainiers games.  The kids are so into it now too since they are playing baseball/ softball.
We went out on the lake quite a few times.  Lance caught a few fish, but this one was the biggest!
My friend Wendy turned 40 this year so we celebrated with dinner at Purple Cafe, a girls hotel night and some wine tasting in Woodinville.
We went to Chateau St Michelle, Martedi winery and Efeste winery.  They were all great and very different.  It was so nice to get together with these girls again!
One of Lance's customers took him and the kids out of his sailboat.  They loved it so much.  Such a cool experience.

We also spent a weekend at the beach house.  It was a really low tide so we got to walk out on the sandbar.  It felt like we were out in the middle of the sound.
Carson really got into baseball cards and loved seeing Papa's collection.  Always a fun time at the beach house.
