Last Day of School- 4th and 6th

Last day of 6th grade at Lakeridge Middle School.  Rylee had a great first year of middle school.  She played 3 school sports (softball, basketball and volleyball) and played trumpet in the band.  She made lots of new friends and had a lot of fun!  She will be in ASB next year and is looking forward to helping with school events.
Last day of 4th grade at Bonney Lake Elementary.  Carson loves school and does well.  He had Mrs. Claunch as his teacher and he really liked her.  He loved having his best buds Easton, Landon and Weilan in his class.
Now bring on summer!

Spring softball

Rylee just finished her softball season with the BLS Little League.  She played on the 12U Majors team.  She had a lot of friends on her team this year, which made every practice a lot of fun!
Rylee had a great season.  She had hits almost every game.  She mostly played 3rd base and occasionally played centerfield or left field.
She received the game ball one game for having 2 great plays with her friend Reese.  Randomly Carson got his game ball on the same night!
She had great coaches that were supportive and made the practices and games fun.
There were 2 Bonney Lake teams.  We beat the other team 3 times😊.

They beat one of the best teams in the league so the coach treated them to Menchies.  The girls had a blast hanging out together outside of the softball field!
Rylee made the 12U all star softball team this year.   She practiced like crazy to get ready for the tournament.
The moms had fun decorating the dugouts every game.
The all star tournament was a double elimination.  The girls lost their first game to South Hill (one of the best teams) 3-17, then won their second game against Soundview 23-2.  The 3rd game was against South Hill again.  It was really exciting and so close.  We ended up losing 17-18.
What a great season!

Cle Elum camping- Whispering Pines

Another long weekend camping trip in the books.  This time we went to Cle Elum.  We left Thursday evening, just in time to stop for dinner and drinks.  We started out with a beer at Dru Brew in Snoqualmie.  It is such a cute place. There is a great outdoor space that would be fun to hang out in nice weather.  Of course it was raining when we were there.  😢 We ate dinner next door at Commonwealth.  Delicious food and a really cool environment!  We will definitely be back.
This was our second trip to Whispering Pines in Cle Elum.  We were lucky to have a site by the river that was not flooded.  The picture above is of the camping sites we stayed in last year.  So crazy!  Just a little wet.
They added a new jumping pillow this year!  The kids were actually the first ones to try it out.  The river was beautiful and flowing fast.  Only one small fish was caught!
We took some walks along the river and saw these cute little marmots.
The kids had a great time in the hammocks as usual.  We camped with our friends Tiffany and Travis, and their 2 kids Landon and Harper.  Landon is one of Carson's best friends and in his class at school.  Harper is a couple of years younger, but shes a lot of fun and up for anything.
We had a couple days with some sun, so we tried out our new kayak.  It worked great!  We skipped going to Lake Cle Elum, as it was a little breezy, but had fun hanging out at the pond at the campsite.
We checked out a new (to us) fishing pond one evening.  The girls kayaked while the boys fished.  Landon was the lucky fisherman- he caught two!
Our friends brought a couple of camping games- the chicken game and bocce ball.  We played bocce ball all around the campground.  It was so much fun!  We also ditched the kids one night and went to the Brick in Rosyln for dinner and drinks.
We had a great time with new camping friends.  Hopefully many more trip with them to come!

Spring baseball

Carson just finished a great baseball season with the BLS little league.  He played in the minors this year, and had 2 friends on his team- Landon and our neighbor Finn.
He pitched quite a few games, and played all other positions.  His favorite position (other than pitching) was 3rd base.
His batting started off a little slow, but he ended up having quite a few big hits.  Their games were so fun and exciting to watch!
His team was called the Fort Wayne Tincaps.  The ended the season with 8 wins, 6 losses and 1 tie.  Most importantly, he had a great team, amazing coaches and dad helpers and he had a lot of fun.
He and Rylee ended up getting the game ball on the same night.  What a fun coincidence!
They had an end of season party at one of his teammates houses.  It rained, but that didn't stop the boys from swimming and playing baseball.  It was a great time.
