Chelan weekend 2022

We started off the weekend with a coffee at 97 Rock House.  I just love this place so much!  It's such a cool place for a pit stop.  We stayed at an Airbnb this year... a townhome at Peterson's waterfront resort.  It was huge!  Perfect for 2 families.  And walking distance from town!  The Vehs couldn't make it this year so we invited our friends The Millers.  They have a boy Carson's age- Quin, and a girl Rylee's age- Reese.  Rylee was so excited to finally have a girl on one of our getaways!
The first night we ate at a new mexican spot in town- Fonda Oaxaquena.  It was delicious and a really fun atmosphere.
It was also walking distance from the Riverwalk park.  The kids brought bikes/ scooters and we did the loop a couple of times during our stay.
We had to check out one of our favorite wineries- Wapato Point Cellars.  It was a beautiful day.  We were able to enjoy our wine and chocolate tasting outside by the fire while the kids played on the playground.
They even had smores kits for the kids.  Score!
Rylee took these pics during a walk one day.  We lucked out with the weather- it was gorgeous!
Sunday morning we went to Blueberry Hills.  The food was delicious as always!
After brunch we found an awesome sledding spot.  The sun was out and the hill was huge.  Most of the snow in Chelan had melted, so we weren't sure we'd be able to go sledding.  We were lucky to find this spot off the side of the road.  It was perfect!
After brunch and sledding we hit the hot tub.  We had it all to ourselves!  The parents enjoyed some champagne and a gorgeous view while the kids ran in and out of the snow and hot tub.

On Monday we stopped in Leavenworth on our way home.  We were hoping the pump track would be open for some bike riding, but it was covered in snow.  We settled for more sledding.  It was a little icy, but still a good time.
Another great weekend in Chelan with good friends!  It never disappoints. ❄

Happy 10th Birthday Carson

I can't believe Carson is in double digits!!
We had Jon, Mandy and Kennedy over on his birthday to celebrate.  We got Red Robin to go and he picked out special cupcakes from Wanna Cupcake.
On Saturday he had the neighbor boys (Bryce, Weilan and Damon) and Landon over for a sleepover.  They went to Defy for some trampoline fun, and then had ice cream at Cold Stone.
Happy 10th Birthday to my little man!

School awards

Rylee got a special treat for getting a "Hawk Pride" award for RESPECT.  Her teacher Ms. Case nominated her.
That same day Carson got a "Golden Ruler" award for overachieving.  His teacher wrote: Carson is a great student.  He is always up for a challenge!
I am so proud of them! 🙌

Rylee's first band concert

Rylee had her first 6th grade band concert in January.  They did so great!  I was very impressed.  Of course we then had to celebrate with a Crumbl cookie!

The first video is of Rylee practicing.  She was on cloud 9 after the concert and wanted to keep playing!  The second video is one of my favorite songs that they played.  They did a great job!

Winter fun

Rylee was lucky enough to go to a Seahawks game with her friend Eva.  She had such a fun time.  Their seats were amazing! Her Aunt Julie and cousins Jack and Ace were also there so they met up after the game.

The kids got in some great cousin time during Thanksgiving and also during the weekend of Gramma J's memorial.  It's so great seeing how much they love and support each other.
The kids and I went to go see Sing 2 in 3D.  It was so cute!
We got together with the Vehs at Farm 12 for dinner.  We have a winter tradition of getting together and going to the Reaching Christmas concert together, but unfortunately the show was cancelled due to covid this year.  Dinner was fun and Farm 12 is such a cute, festive place!  I love it.
This was how much snow we got in December.  It was so pretty!  It snowed multiple days during winter break.  Great timing!  The kids only missed one day of school and had one late start due to ice.
This is Carson and his best buddy Landon.  They've been spending a lot of time together.  They're in the same class at school, play sports together (baseball, flag football), play video games together and have lots of sleepovers.
We took the kids to their first Cirque Du Soleil show- Alegria.  They were in awe of all the acts and loved every second of it.  It also helped that there was free popcorn and macaroons!
Carson has been playing basketball this winter and has also tried flag football for the first time.  He is loving it!  The parents don't really love sitting on the bleachers in the cold, but it is fun to watch.
The kids went to their friend Jacob's birthday at Defy.  So much fun!
Carson went to watch Weilan play piano at a concert at the LeMay car museum.  He loved looking at all the old cars, and had fun cheering on his buddy.
