Maui- day 7

Our last full day in Maui was spent enjoying the sun and water. We spent a lot of time swimming in the ocean. It was warmer than the pool! Rylee loved splashing around in the ocean waves.

Dad swam way out in the water with her (I was a little nervous!!!)

She is such a natural swimmer!

Toes in the water... toes/ a** in the sand... not a worry in the world... a cold Mai Tai in my hand!

Lance went snorkeling and saw this cool spikey starfish.

He also got up and close and personal with a couple of turtles. So cool!

I wish I was there to see this!

Nap time by the pool.

Rylee discovered that she absolutely LOVES pineapple! She worked on this piece for a good ten minutes!

We went to Lahaina to enjoy our last night in Maui. We visited the banyan tree again, shopped, and ate ice cream. It was a great last night.

We didn't want to say good-bye to beautiful Maui!
Our good-bye sunset.

Maui- day 6

Day 6 started with a skinny vanilla latte from our new favorite coffee place across from out hotel- Java Jazz. They had great coffee, delicious breakfast, and a fun atmosphere. I think I had coffee there 6 of the 7 days we were in Maui!

We drove the road to Hana. It was a long, winding road... but so beautiful! We took our time driving. We stopped to check out scenery and hike quite a bit. Rylee was a great traveler. She took about 3 naps and had a great time at all of our stops.

This was during one of our nature hikes.

What a cutie pie!

We stopped at a botanical garden to walk around and check out the gorgeous scenery.

It was really colorful and fun to walk through.

We stopped to eat at this local roadside stand. The Kahlua pig tacos were to die for! We also bought some yummy coconut candy.

We also stopped at the 7 sacred pools to hike around and swim.

Family photo

Rylee enjoyed eating the rocks in one of the pools.

Rylee had a great time walking around with dad.

She loved sitting in the water and munching on the black rocks.

More hiking.
On the way back to Ka'anapali we stopped for dinner at Beach Bum's restaurant. They had live music and Rylee absolutely loved it. She was such a ham. It was a great way to end a long day.

Maui- day 5

Day 5 was spent by (and in) the pool.

Rylee swam a lot with dad.

We can't believe how much she loved the water.

More beach time.

She even went down a water slide with dad (a few times!)

Many late afternoons were spent having Mai Tai's on the balcony.

And watching the scenery.

That night I had a massage (loved it!!!) and then we went for dinner at Sansei sushi in Kapalua.

Maui- day 4

Day 4 was spent sunbathing and playing in the water. The above picture is how Rylee spent most days! She was very content sitting in between our legs, playing with her toys or people watching.
Of course she had to swim with dad!

Nap time by the pool.

Afternoon nap with dad.

Of course Rylee had new shoes to wear on vacation.. she had to be stylish!

That night we went to Whalers Village for some shopping. We had dinner at Leilani's on the beach and then walked around on the beach boardwalk. The night ended with some Hagen Daz ice cream and another Maui sunset from our balcony.

Maui- day 3

We woke up on day 3 to another beautiful rainbow.

We spent the morning hanging out in the room and playing in the hot tub.

The morning was a little rainy so we went for a drive around North Maui. This is a pic of our little travel buddy!

We checked out some beautiful scenery.

And stopped for banana bread and mango chips at this local stand.

Later in the day we stopped at a beach so Rylee could play in the sand. She loved eating it!

It was a little windy so we didn't stay long. Still long enough to get sand everywhere! =)

This is the view from our balcony.

More pics from the balcony. We watched many beautiful sunsets from here.

That night we went to dinner at the hotel restaurant. I had mahi mahi... it was delicious!
