Lake Chelan Winterfest 2020

We just returned from one of our favorite places- Lake Chelan.  Its great any time of the year, but we really love it in the winter.  The snow makes everything so much prettier!  We started the weekend by walking in the snow to one of our favorite wineries- Wapato Point Cellars.  Its not necessarily our favorite wine, but you can't beat the family friendly atmosphere.  They even have a play area outside for the kids that you can see from the tasting room.  Genius!
It was winterfest in Manson where we stayed.  There were Christmas lights, live music and fire pits in the streets.  So much fun.
We ended the first night in the hot tub.  The kids had fun doing the "polar bear plunge..." they would jump into the snow and then run back to the hot tub.
On Saturday we drove up to Echo Valley to go tubing and skiing.  It was amazing to see the difference in attitudes and skill level since the last time we went (I think it was 2 years ago).  The kids were so excited to ski.  They closed the mountain down and did not want to leave.  It was awesome to see so much improvement in such a short time.  We'll have to make sure to go again this season!
The top video is of Carson towards the end of the day.  He was feeling pretty confident by this time.
Rylee did awesome too.  She initially didn't want to ski at all, then changed her mind once she saw how much fun her brother was having.  I'm so glad she tried it again.  She's now is love with skiing!
Thanks Chelan once again for the awesome memories!  ❆

Cheers to the New Year!

We didn't have plans for New Years this year, so we decided to host a small get together with our neighbors.  We played games, danced, sang karaoke, laughed and had a great time.  Such a fun way to bring in the New Year!

We are blessed to have had a great 2019.  We vacationed, spent lots of time with family, celebrated birthday milestones ( my 40th), went to lots of kids sports practices/ games, and enjoyed time with friends and neighbors.  I hope 2020 treats us just as well!  Cheers!

Merry Christmas 2019

We started the Christmas Eve festivities by opening gifts from Lance's family.  The kids were so excited to get this inventor set and canvas horse picture.  Carson's quote: "That is amazing.  I love this."
After opening a few presents we headed to Jon and Mandy's for their annual Christmas Eve celebration and gift exchange.  The kids had a blast playing with Jon's nieces and nephews.  There were 11 kids all together!  SO much fun.
The next morning we all woke up to over flowing stockings.  I guess Santa decided we had all been good!
We all had such a wonderful Christmas.  The kids truly enjoyed opening their gifts and were appreciative of each one.  They really were into the holiday spirit this year, more than in years past.  It was so fun to experience Christmas through their eyes.
The kids gave us many handmade gifts.  I just love all the handmade ornaments, it's my favorite part about the Christmas tree!
Lance had to try out his new gift- a firepit.  I'm sure it will get much use in the years to come!
Our traditional Christmas dinner is prime rib and crab.  The guys always have fun shucking the crab (and taste testing of course)!  They look nice in their aprons!  🤣
Kennedy had a lot of fun too.  She wasn't too into the presents yet, but she loved doing anything Rylee and Carson were doing.  They are all so cute together!

Such a wonderful Christmas and holiday season.  I feel so grateful and blessed for this family I have and all the memories we make.  💗
