Maiden Voyage 2012

Another gorgeous day.  We took the boat out for the first time this year with our friend's Elisabeth and Sherman.  It was Carson and Ronan's first time on the boat.  They both did pretty well.  Carson slept pretty much the whole time, and Ronan did not!  He was too excited to sleep.  =)

Ronan already bully-ing Carson.  (He is 2 1/2 months older)

Fair Day!

Yesterday was a beautiful day so we decided to spend it at the spring fair.  It was so busy, but definitely worth the lines and crowds.  The scones were delicious as usual!
Rylee is finally tall enough to go on rides, and she took full advantage.  She rode a couple with mom and dad, and then decided she didn't need us and rode more by herself.  What a big girl!
She was so cute.  She would wave at us every time she came around, and you could hear her yelling "whee!"
They also had a little kids area where they could run around and play with all sorts of musical instruments and toys.  Needless to say, she was one tired girl that night!
Carsonhad fun too.  This was what he did almost the entire time we were there.  =)

2 months

Height: 23 1/4 inches (50th percentile)
Weight: 13 lbs 13 oz (90th percentile)

Carson is doing great.  As you can see he's a big, hungry boy.   He still likes to eat every 2-3 hours, even at night (which makes for one tired momma!)  He is becoming more awake and interactive every day.  He smiles a lot and has started talking (coo-ing) a little.  He LOVES to snuggle.  If he could sleep with one of us every night he would sleep for hours.  He can hold his head pretty well now, and can do a great push-up position.
 Other updates:
Rylee continues to love and adore her brother. We joke that she could literally love him to death! She is one wild child. I don't know how she has so much energy. She's started skipping naps (mainly because she's been sleeping in till 9 or 10 am). She loves to sing, dance and read books. She is a little snuggle bug too. She still struggles with potty training. Some days are good, others are not.
Lance recently got a job!  He hasn't started yet, but should any day now.  He will be working as a procurement agent for Boeing.  He's been wanting to get on there for a while now so this is great news.  It's been a blessing to have him home during my maternity leave.  The timing was just perfect.  We've been able to do so many more activities with the family since he's been home.  I don't think I would ever leave the house with 2 kids!!

I start back to work tomorrow.  I have mixed feeling about this.  In a way, I am glad to get out of the house and have some adult time.  On the other hand, my boy is still so small and vulnerable!  Not to mention he eats SO much!  I worry that I won't be able to produce enough milk while I'm at work.  At least it's only 3 days a week (although 3 long days)!  I feel lucky that we have a great daycare provider that I trust and feel comfortable leaving the kids with.  Wish me luck!!

Happy Easter!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson's house for Easter yesterday.  Mom made us an amazing brunch, and then later an even better dinner!  Rylee searched for Easter eggs in the yard (the Easter bunny had to hide them 3 different times because she had so much fun finding them), and also colored and decorated Easter eggs.  We had a great time eating, drinking, and visiting with the Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Uncle Jon and Auntie Mandy.  We even fit in a few card games, holy ball games, and even a walk.  We will definitely miss the Great Grandparents.  We had such a great week spending time with them.

The Great Grandparents are here!

Great Grandma Arlyss and Papa Willis are visiting now.  Rylee has been having so much fun hiding from Papa, and Carson has loved being snuggled by Grandma.  They are here for another week so more pictures to come!

More visiting...

A couple of weeks ago we drove over the river and through the snow (literally) to visit Grandma J in Corvallis, OR.  She got to meet baby Carson for the first time, and boy did she fall in love with him (how could you not).   He seemed to like her a little bit too.
The snow melted the second day we were there so we were able to get out and play a little.  Rylee had a blast (and so did mom and dad) playing at the interactive Toy Store.  Both kids traveled well.  The only bump in the road was the last day when Rylee had a HUGE meltdown in Starbucks.  We ended up leaving shortly after and she was an angel on the ride home.  I guess that's a typical 2 year old!

Last week the Bend Craig's came over for a visit and to meet Carson.  Jack absolutely loved him and held him as often as he could.  Rylee loved playing with both Jack and Ace and tried hard to keep up with them.  Needless to say, she was one tired girl when they left!  We wish they lived closer!
