Springtime fun

This is what Carson has been up to.  Hanging out, playing on his mat, smiling, melting our hearts, and still sleeping through the night!  (In fact now he has been sleeping 10-11 hours a night!)

He's lost a lot of his hair, and now it's starting to come back in pretty light.  Almost blond.  And he's still got his piercing blue eyes.  He'll be a lady killer like his daddy, I'm sure of it.
We got one warm day this weekend so we took full advantage and went out on Lake Tapps.  Rylee and Lance caught 2 bass!  Rylee was thrilled.  She just LOVES fishing and being on the boat.  Hmmm... I wonder where she got that from!?

Carson has discovered his thumb.  We're not too thrilled about this as we don't want it to become a habit.  BUT... it is what helps soothe him back to sleep during the night.  For that I am grateful.  And it IS super cute!!  =)

I haven't posted about Coulee is a while because I haven't caught any good pictures of her and the kiddos.  She is doing great.  She has adjusted well to Carson and has been such a protective momma to both kids.  She is literally Rylee's best friend.  That poor dog puts up with a lot.  Rylee is constantly dragging her around by the collar, tying her up to things in the back yard, and making her "houses" (where she blocks Coulee in a corner using chairs, pillows, and whatever else she can find).  We try to keep lots of treats around to let her know we appreciate her being such a good dog!

Feeling hopeful

The last 2 weeks Carson has been sleeping through the night.  Well, it's mostly been a 5-7 hour stretch, but that's close enough.  Last night he slept 10 hours!  I thought this day would never come!  I just hope it lasts...

Happy Mom's Day

Happy Mother's Day!  We spent the weekend with family at the beach house.  It was warm and sunny, and we had a great time being lazy and just relaxing.  Rylee had so much fun exploring the beach, chasing crabs, and looking for Sammy the seagull.  Carson loved snuggling and interacting with Grandma and Papa, going for walks, and taking lots of cat naps.

I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family.  My mom is such a loving and supportive mother and now grandmother.  I truly look up to her and hope someday I can be just like her.  She is not only my mother but a great friend.  I love you mom!

A perfect patient

Poor Rylee ended up in the hospital AGAIN for her asthma.  She was doing so great for so long, and then all of a sudden she developed trouble breathing.  We took her to my ER Thursday night and they gave her steroids and multiple breathing treatments.  She never got any better, and in fact got worse, so they decided to transfer her by ambulance to Mary Bridge children's hospital.  She was admitted and given lots more breathing treatments.  She eventually started breathing more easily and we were able to come home late last night.  She still has a little cough and wheezing, but is so much better.  Talk about the longest 24 hours of my life.  I hate asthma.
On another, happier note, Carson is just about 3 months old!  Time has just flown by.  We lucked out with another great little baby.  He is so laid back and go-with-the-flow.  He still eats every 3 hours on the dot (which is why I called him a great baby and not a perfect baby).  He now weighs 15 lbs and is in 3-6 month clothing.  He is such a little love bug.  He loves snuggles, smiling, his play mat, and watching his sister from a distance.  He is very active and alert, and loves watching people around him.  He gets so excited now when we talk to him and give him attention.  He is such a blessing to our family.
