Our Banks trip was unusual this year. Our first two days were cloudy and drizzly. We got a patch of good weather on our first day so we quickly headed to a beach to meet up with the Moes. The kids had fun playing in the sand while we got to meet their new puppy!
There was a wildfire across the road from our campground. It was really cool to watch the helicopters getting water from the lake to drop on the fire, but also scary to know it was so close to our campsite. Luckily, they were able to get it under control pretty quickly. It rained the next morning too which was helpful.
We didn't mind a little bit of rain. We played some games to pass the time.
Luckily the rain didn't last long the second day and we were able to get out on the water by early afternoon. We found a nice beach and spent the rest of the day enjoying the sun.
The rest of the week was hot and beautiful. We did all the normal things- floating, boating, swimming, fishing, tubing, cliff jumping and knee boarding.
Mandy and Jon were the holy balls champions this year. 🥇
We had dinner at the restaurant at SunBanks- The Cantina. They had karaoke which was fun to watch while we ate.
Kennedy and Carson went knee boarding. Kennedy is an old pro now!
We had an amazing trip as always! Banks Lake is the best!
